About the Role

As Lead Product Manager for Early Pay, you will lead Chime’s new data products to power early payday. Providing our members access to their pay as soon as possible is at the heart of what Chime members value. Chime’s original differentiator of 2-day-early pay, followed by SpotMe, Chime’s fee-free overdraft product, remain two of our most beloved features, and we are looking for a Product Manager to lead us into the next step in that journey.

You will lead the development of Chime’s pay data and insight capabilities, building the underlying capabilities, integrations, and partnerships for Chime to continue to be the market leader in paying people on their terms. You will work closely with our General Management and Engineering teams to create an ambitious vision, build robust capabilities, and scale to tens of millions of Americans. You will have responsibility for the platforms, integrations, and member experiences around pay data that we will build, and be responsible for working with key business partners in Partnerships, Risk, Finance, and Marketing to deliver the best solutions for our members, and for Chime.

For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $165,600 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Partner with engineering and General Management team to define our long-term strategic capabilities and roadmap of Early Pay, vision for pay data, and power differentiated products that drive growth beyond our current 2-day early feature
  • Serve as product owner for our platform investments; manage the backlog, capture requirements, and ship product incrementally in collaboration with engineering
  • Build strong relationships with diverse partners and vendors to access the data that will power the products and unlock new experiences
  • Collaborate with key internal partners in Product, Risk, Finance, Marketing, Member Services, and Analytics to understand requirements, manage dependencies, and plan for their future needs, and to build and operationalize the best new products for our members
  • Communicate progress, value, and blockers to the wider business, including executive leadership
  • Develop, prioritize, and execute on OKRs and shape how our products can help Chime meet its goals

To thrive in this role, you

  • Are driven by results and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex, high-visibility projects under tight deadlines
  • Have built and launched a complex, technical product as a startup or within an established company
  • Are comfortable with high ambiguity and high velocity, driving to data driven outcomes while maintaining a collaborative, trusting environment across the team
  • Are adept in bringing clear and logical structure to ambiguous questions, you can synthesize on the fly and help the team see around corners in the org
  • Prior experience building products in a FinTech or Financial Services business and regulated environments
  • Can co-create a strategic vision for the business incorporating Chime’s overall goals, consumer insights, and financial performance, and to further Chime’s leadership in this fast-moving product area
  • Have a proven track record of building products while driving alignment across multiple levels of the organization, from analysts to senior executives with diverse perspectives
  • Have 10+ years of work experience, which may include:
    • Delivering corporate strategy projects at the Project Leader/Case Team Leader/Engagement Manager level or above at Top Tier management consulting firm
    • Working within a high growth Fintech startup taking a product from zero to one
    • Experience in lending and/or challenger banking a plus
