Cervest is building the world's first open access AI-powered Climate Intelligence platform.
We’re a Certified B Corporation with a vision to build a climate intelligent world — one where everyone is able to use Climate Intelligence to adapt with climate change. By making Climate Intelligence open, democratised and transparent we will power a global Climate Intelligent Network™ that drives a chain reaction of climate intelligent decisions to protect the world’s critical assets, including our greatest asset — the planet.
Using our pioneering EarthScanTM product, anyone can discover how current and future climate events such as flooding, droughts, and extreme temperatures will impact their assets. EarthScan helps our customers confidently de-risk decisions, meet financial disclosure needs and improve the resilience of the assets they own, manage or rely on.
As a company, we are a pro-diversity, highly inclusive organization, committed to bringing together people of all backgrounds and enabling them to succeed. We know that a richly diverse team will help us achieve our mission sooner.
Why will you enjoy this opportunity?
Cervest is building the world's first open access AI-powered Climate Intelligence platform. We are at an exciting moment in the company with our first product, EarthScan™, already having a positive impact for our customers. Now we’re looking to expand our product suite both horizontally and vertically. This role is an opportunity to play a key part in this next stage of growth toward our ambitious vision of putting Climate Intelligence at the core of every decision.
What are the expectations over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
In the first year at Cervest you’ll take one of our new product extensions from an initial scientific feasibility study to launching a Minimum Valuable Product into the market. Your journey will likely take you through:
If your MVP is successful, you’ll define the next stage of growth for your new product area and set the team on track to achieve it. If a pivot is in order, you’ll lead the redefinition of the product area and share learnings across the business.
What type of work will you be doing on a regular basis?
On a day-to-day basis you’ll be collaborating with your colleagues in Science, Product, Engineering, and the Commercial group to define the problem space and market for your new product feature set. You’ll be identifying assumptions, testing them, and iterating quickly toward an MVP for your product area.
What is the structure and culture of the team like?
Your initial team will consist of 2-3 Climate Scientists and Engineers, with strong support from UX Researchers, other Product Managers and our Commercial group. You will report to the Director of Product within the group of Product Managers that builds our Climate Intelligence capabilities.
We are a distributed, remote-first organization. Our employees are predominantly from the UK, but we have colleagues from around Europe and a few in North America as well.
We have a strong culture of collaboration, empowerment, science, and inclusion. We favour autonomy and transparency over micro-management. You will instead see your colleagues and managers offering support, coaching, facilitation and deep care.
Benefits:
As a rapidly scaling company on a mission, we are committed to ensuring that we support our team in developing in line with their aspirations and talents as well as continuing to develop our culture in line with our values.
We are a remote-first company and are hiring into the UK or the USA. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in a remote setting and with a diverse team distributed across multiple time zones. This job requires minimum travel for occasional regional or global team retreats only, using more sustainable transport methods (we’ll help with that).
