The Guest Engagement & Marketing Team ensures that every restaurant has the tools and tech they need to bring the right guests into their dining experiences at the right time. Through marketing tools like email, sms, incentives & promotions, loyalty, guest feedback, and more, restaurants gain the integrated ability to create incredible first impressions with their guests,  bring them back to their restaurants, drive revenue that helps them run sustainable businesses,  and create raving fans. 

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer teammate to help design end-to-end marketing experiences for our customers that are seamless on their own and together. 

You are passionate about improving the experience of everyone working in a restaurant. You’re a systems thinker who  loves untangling and making sense of complex problems that span human, digital and physical interactions. You will be working with your product and business partners to bring a design perspective to product strategy and roadmapping discussions. You will use assets like journey maps and service blueprints to uncover the most impactful problems to solve and design holistic user experiences. You will work with a small team of designers to bring the product vision to life and coach them along the way. You are an experienced leader dedicated to Toast’s mission:  helping restaurants do what they love and thrive. About this roll* (Responsibilities) 
Partner with team lead counterparts in product management, engineering, and adjacent product teams to drive strategy on how to build holistic and integrated customer experiences.
Design intuitive experiences across responsive web and native mobile platforms,  delivering on the vision to execution using wireframes, workflows, and prototypes and more. 
Regularly conduct design reviews to obtain feedback, iterating on the designs to improve results
Plan and execute user research studies that generate insights to positively impact product design
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

5-7+ years experience with demonstrated ability to lead the solution of a product area and connect that to a broader product vision
Expert in designing for multiple screen sizes and platforms: native mobile, responsive mobile, and web 
Strong experience and journey mapping, identifying and capitalizing on friction when appropriate and moments of delight across the journey
Experience in strategizing and executing your own UX research as well as partnering directly with UXR. 
Proactive with capacity to handle high work volume and balance multiple projects at once
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to build strong relationships both within and outside of the product organization
