THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER

We are looking for a Design Lead to steer our Rider Growth Design teams.You will design and run our product growth experiments. Combining your product design expertise with a data-driven approach, you will help the designers to drive growth through rapid iterations and learnings from these experiments. You will work with colleagues across Product, Research and Data teams to better understand our customers and market via data and customer research. You will also help identify opportunities for improving TIER performance based on data, research, and your own insights and creativity. Overseeing multiple cross functional design projects but also being able to work under tight deadlines, the Design Lead must be a skilled manager of creative teams. The Design Lead  must be an effective communicator, especially when it comes to relaying creative concepts to design teams and company stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

  • Distill abstract commercial concepts and consumer needs into smooth and impactful designs and experience.
  • Take responsibility for the creative vision for the Growth Design Team and the standard of output across team members who work under them.
  • Communicate confidently and clearly to stakeholders within product as well as the wider business  
  • Have strong people management and leadership skills in order to hire, develop, and inspire the Rider Growth Design Team.
  • Ensure that all of the Rider Growth Design Team’s creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand.
  • Lead multiple initiatives within Growth from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
  • Not accept sub standard experiences for our Riders

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of experience as a senior-level designer. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience leading complex solutions for digital products.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan that will ensure they are met or exceeded.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders and internal teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Management experience (including leadership, team-building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design enhancements
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Work closely with the Design Lead in the Rider Experience Team
