We are Multiverse, a tech scaleup with a social mission. We’re creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training, through the power of professional apprenticeships.

We’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe and rapidly expanding in North America, working with over 500 clients including McKinsey & Co, Morgan Stanley, Verizon and Visa. In June 2022, we broke the EdTech funding record (again!) by announcing our $220m Series D, making Multiverse the UK’s first ever EdTech unicorn.

Join us on our journey to democratising access to the best careers and learning opportunities.

Requirements

Your mission

We need you to contribute to the future direction of our Multiverse product to ensure we are continually challenging who gets access to the best careers. We are building a product that supports people at different stages of their career, from those just starting out to those who have already built and established themselves.

You’ll leading design (and designers) on the Candidate Experience Product, across multiple squads looking to solve problems around acquisition, admissions and onboarding of candidates for apprenticeships, working closely with the Admissions, Marketing and Launch operations teams. No two days at Multiverse are the same, so we need someone who is comfortable with the unknown unknowns. On top of that we’re looking for an all rounder who is equally as happy leading and managing designers as digging into design challenges themselves. If you are inquisitive about the ‘why’ we do things, you live to prove and disprove hypotheses and you’re keen to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment, we’d love for you to join us during this exciting growth phase.

Specifically, you will:

  • Hire and manage designers
  • Design products and features that are world-class
  • Collaborate with user research to drive product and strategy decisions
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Identify a balance between ‘the right way to do things’ and the ‘right now we need to do things this way’ to achieve our goals
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to ship excellent work
  • Contribute to a growing Design System and design process

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer, UX designer or similar with a strong portfolio of work
  • An understanding of UX principles and methods, how to drive change, from identifying a problem to leading the solution
  • Comfort with prioritising and managing milestones and projects efficiently
  • A strong collaborative approach when working with Engineering, Product, User Research, and other parts of the business like Learning and Delivery
  • You’re proficient in design software (we’re using Figma)
  • You align closely with our values and can share examples of how you have demonstrated them

Benefits

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days
  • Health & wellbeing - private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, and access to Spill - all in one mental health support
  • Hybrid & remote working - weekly or monthly visits to the London office
  • Equity - every Multiverse employee has ownership in the business through equity options
  • Team fun - weekly socials and regular offsite events
