ABOUT THE TEAM

At Trade Republic, our goal is to build an investing platform designed for everyday people, who don’t necessarily have any existing stock market experience. That’s why we work hand in hand with our product managers, engineers, data scientists and others to continuously learn and truly understand people's needs to take their financial freedom into their own hands.

As a Lead Product Designer, you will be responsible for your problem space, designing delightful solutions for our 2+ million users. At Trade Republic, you will be able to improve your mentorship skills by helping younger designers learn & develop, as well as hiring promising talent. You will offer strategic insight into how we can shape our products and experiences for our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Work as an individual contributor, handle the end-to-end product design process, build up a team of designers and mentor your teammates 

• Responsible for aligning design strategy and growth of the design team in one of the business elements in Trade Republic

• Work closely with product managers and engineers in your team and collaborate with other designers, researchers, and marketers

• Work closely with design leadership across different problem spaces at Trade Republic to improve our design process, operations and practices

• Take an active role in hiring and growing a small-to-medium-sized design team, contributing to the development of our design culture at Trade Republic

• Foster an environment of diversity and trust, where designers can accomplish their best work

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of relevant design experience in digital products

• Ability to design experiences for iOS, Android and web

• Visual design sense, skills in typography 

• Experience in articulating and synthesizing design problems and solutions to a cross-functional team

• Self-motivated and autonomous

• Strong customer empathy & passion for delivering delightful user experiences

• Worked in finance, banking, or known consumer products is a plus but not required
