About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to craft experiences that empower job seekers to find a company and workplace that they love and employers to attract talent by showcasing their employees' experiences and exceptional workplace cultures. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to core products that are part of Glassdoor’s strategy for growth, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement and iterate on this vision.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze user and customer behaviors, identify opportunities to solve problems, and create cohesive, best-in-class experiences to our most challenging and high impact areas.
  • Responsibly and effectively advocate for the customer, fostering a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, technology and business.
  • Champion and drive design alignment to unite a growing family of products and features, while continuing to deliver and evangelize a culture of invention and innovation.
  • Lead design sprints or workshops to develop solutions. Create compelling experience visions that evolve from rough idea to prototype.
  • Participate in road-mapping exercises with partners to break down the experience vision into an iterative roadmap.
  • Collaborate and communicate high-level design strategies to leadership within and outside of the team.
  • Collaborate closely with UX leaders across Glassdoor to nurture a thriving design culture with a dedication to growing and developing fellow designers.

What You’ll Bring 

  • An addition to our culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • A total of 8+ years professional experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, product designer, or similar role
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating your expertise in crafting customer-centric experiences across a range of touch-points, as well as proficiency in UI and interaction design
  • Driven to understand how a system works and how specific problems influence or are influenced by the larger system
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate compassionately and inclusively with cross-functional partners (Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing)
  • Passion for user-centered design
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong skills in design software such as Figma, or Sketch
  • Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience within the design field

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range*:  $137,000 - $205,000

*Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.

Annual Bonus Target**: 10%

Bonuses are paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviews

Generous Restricted Stock Units (RSU): ***Restricted Stock Units (RSU) are awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually. Additionally, as a pay-for-performance company, RSU grant awards are presented bi-annually to exceptional performers.
