OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings Inc., is the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations, seating more than 26 million diners per month via online bookings across approximately 47,000 restaurants.
For over 25 years we’ve been connecting diners and restaurants for millions of date nights, birthdays, Taco Tuesdays, happy hours and just-because dinners. Dining behaviors and restaurant operations are constantly evolving, especially now, and at OpenTable you’ll be playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the dining industry as it continues to evolve. We’d love you to join us in thoughtfully supporting both our diner and restaurant customers through the good times and the tougher ones, too, driving experiences that will be used by millions globally.
As an employee of OpenTable, you will be part of a global network that includes OpenTable and KAYAK's portfolio of metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights, Swoodoo, checkfelix and Mundi. Many employees are dedicated to one brand, but we all have the benefit of leveraging each other’s strengths and insights—together, we’re able to help people experience the world through dining and travel.
We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Design Systems team to lead our Restaurant platforms, in close partnership with folks on our Consumer platforms. You’ll collaborate with a global team of product designers, product managers, and engineers to establish design systems foundations and practices that will propel our teams in work that will meaningfully impact diners and restaurants around the world.
You’ll be an influential partner embedded in our UX team, where you’ll pair closely with product development colleagues to establish and streamline design systems processes, build foundations, modernize our approach as technology evolves, and create and drive forward the vision for what design systems could be here at OpenTable. You’ll work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to define the roadmap and prioritize where to focus our efforts on design systems, maintain high quality libraries and documentation, drive design systems advocacy, adoption and education, and provide support for product development in effectively implementing and utilizing the system.

As a Lead Product Designer,
What else would make you stand out?
And if you aren’t sure you meet all the above requirements, we’d still love to hear from you.
We truly believe that our design team should be as diverse as the restaurant industry and the diners we design for. We would therefore particularly welcome applications from people who are underrepresented in tech. OpenTable is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
