Be a founding member of Supermetrics’ Design System Team!

We’re seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our newly established Design System Team in Finland, UK or Ireland.

At Supermetrics, we're developing Metri, a comprehensive design system designed to empower teams across our organization. Metri aims to provide a cohesive, scalable, and delightful user experience for our marketing intelligence platform. By serving as a unified foundation, Metri will streamline the design and development processes, maintain brand consistency, and significantly enhance the overall user experience of our products.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with an experienced Design System Developer to establish and build the future of our design system team from the ground up. Together, you will own the design system and its evolution.

Product design at Supermetrics is integral to shaping our products and enhancing our business forward. You'll join an innovative 10-person design team that works cross-functionally throughout the organization, significantly contributing to product development and the overall user experience.

If you're skilled at creating design systems that ensure consistency, scalability, and high-quality user experiences, we'd love to hear from you!

In this role, you will…

  • Develop and maintain a high-quality, robust design system – Craft comprehensive UX, visual, and interaction guidelines, ensuring accessibility, usability, and brand consistency at every touchpoint.
  • Work in close collaboration with a dedicated Design System Developer. You will jointly own the creation and evolution of the design system.
  • Create frameworks and governance models that enable designers and developers to collaborate seamlessly and work efficiently with Metri.
  • Advocate for adoption and best practices – Establish training, documentation, and onboarding processes to ensure widespread and effective use of the design system across the company
  • Ensure high-quality implementation – Work with engineering teams to bridge the gap between design and code, ensuring that Metri’s components and patterns are implemented correctly and consistently

Your day-to-day work and responsibilities include…

  • Documenting best practices, design standards, and usage guidelines
  • Ensuring effective adoption and implementation of Metri across teams
  • Collaborating with the qualified Design System Developer to address technical challenges and ensure smooth integration.
  • Ensuring Metri stays relevant by integrating industry best practices and continuous improvements

This position is for you if you have…

  • Extensive experience in designing, scaling, and operationalizing design systems – You’ve established and preserved design systems that enforce consistency and efficiency across teams. (This is a hard requirement.)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills – You know how to inspire, advocate, and align teams around a shared vision, effectively bringing designers, developers, and stakeholders on board.
  • Your adeptness in visual design and thorough attention to detail consistently uplift the quality of every project
  • A standout portfolio – Showcasing design system work (a must!) alongside broader product design contributions, demonstrating your impact and approach
  • A solid understanding of front-end development – While you don’t need to code, you grasp the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and component-based frameworks to collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma - Skilled use of Figma, particularly in leveraging its design system functionalities, to streamline design workflows and collaboration.

Benefits we offer…

  • Equity & bonuses
  • Comprehensive private healthcare
  • Leisure Insurance
  • Annual learning budget
  • E-passi lunch and wellness & commuting
  • Flexible working hours and remote work possibility
