As Lead UX Designer – Design System, you'll be our Habanero Center of Excellence. You'll lead our Habanero roadmap, drive consistent designer usage and establish design system governance. This role is part of our cross-functional Habanero team, and will collaborate and partner with engineering to thoughtfully guide the creation of new components to meet the myriad of use cases of our platform.

This hire will also play a pivotal role on our Product Design Leadership Team, helping us set the course and vision for our team, our culture, the Salsify platform and our collective future.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Lead design strategy for Habanero, it's adoption and growth in the organization and its day-to-day management
be the voice of Habanero in design reviews and provide feedback on component viability, prioritization, consistent usage and design spec completeness
Align, partner and collaborate with product designers, engineers, PMs, our platform, and our users to build communication bridges and guide the major initiatives that define our user experience
Lead the design, creation, accurate construction and organization of robust and ergonomic components for Habanero in Figma.
Write clear and concise documentation and create best practices to provide support and guide all Habanero Design System collaborators
Be a leading voice in product and cross-team and cross-company discussions; influence and build consensus in an often ambiguous, always fast paced environment

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

6+ years in a UX Designer or Product Designer role with 1+ years leading a complex design system in B2B and/or SaaS
An online portfolio showcasing outstanding product design outcomes and system thinking along with the chops to articulate how you and your team got to the solution and why
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability meet designers/engineers at a range of levels where they are and help them understand the value and machinery of the system and how to deploy it effectively
A born system-thinker who sees patterns in the context of our entire platform, not just the feature or functionality
Shown ability to measurably impacting the whole business/product/engineering workflow by continually refining current processes and generating improvement ideas
Strong expertise designing, governing, measuring and scaling a design system in Figma
