About the role 

Chime is looking for an experienced Content Designer to join our Product Design team. You’ll help bring millions of Americans financial peace of mind as you bring Chime’s product vision to life. You’ll collaborate across functions, including product management, design, user research, analytics, engineering, and compliance.

You’ll establish a consistent product voice, define standard methodologies, and create systems to scale our team. You’ll own end-to-end projects and have horizontal impact across the product.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $149,300 and up to $207,300. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.  (Please do not delete)

In this role, you can expect to

  • Act as a champion for high-caliber design and experiences throughout Chime
  • Create and evolve Chime’s voice and style guidelines
  • Craft human, concise product copy that simplifies sophisticated financial terms while following regulations
  • Use research, data, and testing to validate assumptions and optimize copy for conversion and comprehension
  • Navigate the complexities of a highly regulated industry with creative solutions, thoughtful iterations, and inspired problem-solving skills
  • Document copy decisions for cross-functional usage, managing partners, and building alignment
  • Present to, collaborate with, and influence product, research, and marketing teams
  • Wear multiple hats, helping to work on any project as needed

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 5+ years of experience writing copy for products, such as UX writing, conversational design, content marketing, product marketing, etc.
  • Expertise with product scrum teams and research
  • Demeanor of mentorship and interest in inspiring others to be their best everyday
  • Ability to see many different ways to solve a problem and weigh the pros/cons of each
  • Ability to balance business objectives with user needs and team needs. You represent all sides of the business and know how to create the best outcomes for each.
  • A generally positive outlook and demeanor. We’re going to spend a lot of time together. Let’s make it fun.
  • A steadfast desire to make banking really, really, really (we mean it!) work to our users’ benefit
