About Stripe

Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. Our infrastructure and suite of APIs powers millions of businesses—from startups to publicly listed companies—in almost every country around the world. From developers and payments managers, to founders and CFOs, a broad audience interacts with Stripe’s products and uses them to start, run, and scale their companies.

We’re looking for an experienced, analytical, and collaborative product marketer to improve our go-to-market productivity by providing market & competitive insights and creating programs to drive sales enablement (i.e., narratives, pitch decks, and other customer-facing assets that help the sales team).

At its core, the role exists to enable our business to sell more effectively & improve win rate

You will:

  • Understand our regional customers. Stripe’s customers span multiple segments, business model types, and personas, and each region has its own unique needs. You will develop a deep understanding of our “sold” customers’ goals, pains, and concerns, as well as their buying processes and journeys with Stripe.
  • Champion our solutions. Solution playbooks provide a value-driven, step-by-step framework to understand buyer challenges and position Stripe to win. You will work closely with corporate PMM to bring solutions to your region & to expand and build our solution portfolio.
  • Understand our local Sales team’s needs, and creatively address roadblocks to improve win-rate. This role involves close communication with regional Sales, and an ability not only to understand sales’ requests, but also to come up with creative solutions to address underlying needs. This needs to be built for scale & ongoing ownership.
  • Lead the collection, analysis and reporting of regional market & competitive insights to support effective selling, potentially incorporating primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative data that generates actionable insights for teams across Stripe. Working closely with the CI team, build competitive enablement for our sellers to understand how we’re differentiated.
  • Build and communicate an understanding of key regional competitors: Use competitor announcements, news, review sites, analyst reports and other published sources to build and communicate a detailed understanding of key competitors’ strategies, offerings, GTM activities, and performance. Be the regional partner for major competitive programs across the business.
  • Create playbooks, battlecards, KPI summaries, sales presentations, news alerts, and other internal or customer-facing assets to help marketing, sales and partners win in competitive situations. Customer-facing assets should be polished, visually balanced, and consistent with Stripe’s brand guidelines. You need not be a designer, but you’ll need to have an eye for design, and be comfortable expressing concepts visually.
  • Establish and leverage win/loss analyses and reporting to consistently help refine messaging and sales and partner enablement materials.
  • Develop mechanisms to deliver information, including comparison grids, competitive profiles/snapshots and dashboards
  • Write compelling copy and clear documentation. This is a writing-intensive role, and the bar for your writing is high: you’ll write crisp, vivid prose, with confident control over voice and tone.

You are:

  • A storyteller. You have compassion for users, and can tailor messaging and narratives to resonate with a specific audience. You are a strong writer and communicator.
  • Organized. You can lead complex projects and keep multiple parallel work streams on track.
  • Intellectually curious. You love learning how things work, and can explain technical concepts in ways that everyday people understand.
  • Results-oriented. You are eager to make an impact at Stripe, and will thrive while moving back and forth between strategy-level ideation and detail-level execution.
  • A great teammate. This role collaborates heavily across Product, Marketing and Sales, and the central Product Marketing and Competitive Insights teams. You will build a strong network of cross-functional relationships and use them to get things done.
  • A hands-on content & insights creator. You will apply research, strategy, and creativity to content production, and deliver a stream of high-impact collateral and resources to serve our large and growing sales team in your region.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant work experience that can span marketing, product marketing, product management, sales enablement, competitive analysis or strategic consulting
  • 5-10+ years of go-to market experience working in technology, infrastructure, or platform companies is preferred
  • A startup mentality with a bias to action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with B2B sales teams; preferably in technology, infrastructure, or platform companies
  • Experience crafting highly polished customer-facing sales collateral (slides, one-pagers, case studies, etc), with a portfolio ready to share

It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas—we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have interest in developing new capabilities.
