Location Details: Remote - US, Tempe, AZ, Kirkland, WA

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Hybrid-or-Remote:  This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

As a UX Writer Intern, you will contribute to our team and make a big impact on GoDaddy’s user experience. You will be part of a collaborative, customer-focused team working to build and improve customer experiences. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team that’s changing the face of GoDaddy and helping entrepreneurs around the world build, manage, and grow their online presence. 

You will get to design comprehensive solutions for small business customers that scale across products, channels, and devices. The ideal UX Writing intern will be a creative problem-solver, with a natural curiosity about making things simple. They possess expertise in writing, style, tone, and usability. They should be eager to develop their understanding of customer data and business needs while honing their ability to work with others to turn ideas into reality.

• Understand customer needs, customer journeys, and product requirements to design usable, engaging experiences via language.
• Contribute to the design, prototype, testing, and iteration of experiences that scale across multiple products and scenarios.
• Define and document content strategy based on user goals, product requirements, and product messaging goals.
• Present UX writing to stakeholders for feedback and to promote design thinking.
• Proactively manage projects from start to finish, to meet priorities and requirements in an agile environment
• Communicate and collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, Researchers, and other UX Writers to build end-to-end experiences.

Your experience should include...

• Excellent writing and editing skills, ideally in user-focused mediums like websites, in-app experiences, etc.
• Classroom or previous work experience in user experience design.
• Rock-solid understanding of the user-centered design process.
• Portfolio demonstrating skills in user-focused writing.
• Proactive and strategic problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent ability to present and explain solutions and decisions to stakeholders in a style that fosters collaboration and consensus building (both verbally and in writing).
