Purpose of Role
Cover Genius Insurance Product Designers are the resident experts on insurance product designs globally and the go-to resource for coverage analysis, innovation, and pricing. The Insurance Product Designer is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of products and benefits designed within our operations. The insurance Product Designer will lead customer centric insurance product designs to maximize value delivered to customer while achieving our business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop insurance solutions across various business verticals, supporting regional business unit teams with customer-centric solutions.
- Work closely with the insurance partnership team on developing product solutions for new partnerships and preparing proposals and financial modeling.
- Ownership for the development and execution of the strategic product roadmap and working closely with other internal teams to drive better customer experience.
- Collaborate with the regional insurance teams to get market feedback and support the regional teams in their conversations with the insurers.
- Continuous improvement of our product benefits to improve NPS, operational costs, and loss ratios by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including customer, insurance, and analytics.
- Create standardized insurance products, and support regional insurance teams for launching them.
- Continuing development of depth of knowledge of specific product lines, including coverage innovations, pricing changes, and regulatory developments
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years' experience in insurance product design, having pricing or actuarial background is a plus.
- Track record in developing insurance products
- Experience working cross functionally to deliver large and complex projects.
- Experience in designing and writing policy wordings and other insurance related documentation
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing
- Problem solving and advocating for customer solutions
- Proven ability to foster and develop relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to independently take initiative on projects
- Ability to adapt quickly to a start-up pace environment and culture
- Produce reports and analyze performance to maximize opportunity and market share
- A clear understanding of product design and proposition - what makes it a success or failure
- Experience working in producing business in multiple markets around the world is an advantage
- Experience in product entry strategies, product designs and growing revenue
