Head of Product

We are looking for a Head Of Product to join our team. As Head of Product you’ll operate throughout the product lifecycle: connecting with customers to discover new product opportunities, developing creative solutions with Engineering, Design, and Security counterparts, and then partnering with go-to-market teams to ensure these solutions succeed in the market. Your most important output will be a strong, effective product team that collaborates with product delivery and go-to-market orgs to deeply understand our customers and bring products to market to meet their needs.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, as a manager who can push and grow their product team. A great candidate will be a leader committed to building a tight, rigorous, and predictable product process that leverages the superpowers of all members of the product trio (Engineering, Product & Design) organization. We will judge this leader’s success on how they can challenge and grow the rest of the organization to realize the power of great product and product thinking to solve business challenges. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in modern product management practices, including Continuous Discovery to tackle the Four Big Risks, and believes that the best product ideas come from customer insights and feedback. You will be expected to put that knowledge to practical use both during the interview and once you’re in the role. To summarize, we’re looking for a product leader who takes a pragmatic approach to solving problems, is obsessed with delivering customer value, and recognizes that talent and discipline are the surest way to win over the long term.

What we’re looking for: 

• 10+ years experience in product management or similar experience.
• 3+ (ideally 4+) years of experience managing a team of individual contributors
• Prior experience working at a tech startup
• A passionate product storyteller, able to create enthusiasm for what we’re building and high-quality enablement across the entire organization
• A Product Geek who is passionate about innovative product processes
• An expert continuous discovery practitioner who understands the theoretical underpinnings and can mentor others
• Experience building a repeatable system to discover customer opportunities, identify solutions, and bring those solutions to market successfully.
• Expertise in running customer interviews and ready to coach others
• Experience operating comfortably and effectively in the B2B/B2B2C space (where e.g. A/B testing is less likely to be successful)
• A believer in using metrics in addition to customer insights to drive product decisions, set goals, and hold the product delivery organization accountable
• Experience with systems thinking and solving problems with systems (vs. one-off solutions)

At Truework, you will be responsible for:

• Manage new product innovation and go-to-market success
• The end-to-end business success of new features and products from conception to launch.
• Lead and develop a team of creative and professional product managers.
• Work closely with other teams and departments to execute on the product strategy
• Identify, implement, and manage product partnerships to drive revenue growth and market penetration
• Being a strong partner with the Design and Engineering teams. You build credibility in the product trio in order to create a high-bar way forward across these teams when stuck.
• You will think big and act small when needed. This means having a clear long-term vision while delivering consumer value each cycle. You don't let teams get hung up or overinvest in the pursuit of a false sense of perfection.

Cash Compensation:

Our cash compensation for this role is targeted at $230,000 - $280,000  for candidates based at our hub in San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
