Role Description

As a Head of Product (Director PM) for Dropbox Paper you will be responsible for managing the operations of the product org, setting the product direction and driving major strategic and product initiatives. You will have significant strategic impact and influence the direction of the company, as well as direct responsibility for new products and those already loved by hundreds of millions of users. You will do this together with an amazing team of talented, passionate product managers, designers, engineers and engineering managers including leaders across functions. Paper is a key initiative in the Office of the CEO and you will be responsible for working with the GM to define and execute on the strategy for making Paper be adopted by millions of users. 
As Paper is a new initiative driven from the Office of the CEO, the org will have its own unique culture, technology, and tools focused on 0→1 product development. This role will be pivotal in driving the strategy, execution, and delivery of the product that deliver value for our customers. You will own the Go-to-market strategy and work with cross functional leaders to execute on the   strategy. You will define OKRs and build mechanisms to measure progress. You will be responsible to build and grow the product management org by attracting the right talent to Dropbox.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead a team of Product mangers and product analysts to define and drive product capabilities from inception to launch.
  • You will work closely with the GM of the Paper org and other product leaders across the company to set product strategy and directio
  • You will create a culture of strong ownership,  resulting in highly reliable products and services at scale
  • You'll foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values and continue to develop Dropbox as one of the best places to work
  • You will hire, develop and grow the product org to build the right product features. 

Requirements

    • 12+ years of experience building software products and managing software product teams
    • Deep curiosity about improving effectiveness of knowledge workers and a strong motivation to build products that solve their problems
    • Fluency in data, an understanding of how best to define and track metrics, and a high level of comfort using data to make technical product decisions
    • Proven track record of leading a product team, advancing the craft of product management, and developing well integrated teams with strong, highly collaborative cultures
    • Strong collaboration skills, especially an ability to wield influence and communicate effectively across functions to bring focus to complex and dynamic situations

For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $197,200 - $232,000 - $266,800.
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity
alary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
