Tessian protects every business’s mission by securing the human layer 💫

We're building intelligent security that works for human beings as they are, not how security policies would like them to be. Using machine learning technology, Tessian automatically predicts and eliminates advanced threats on email caused by human error - like data exfiltration, accidental data loss, business email compromise and phishing attacks - with minimal disruption to employees' workflow. As a result, employees are empowered to do their best work, without security getting in their way. You can read more about Human Layer Security here.

Tessian has raised a $74m Series C led by renowned security investors, March Capital (Crowdstrike, Knowbe4), with follow-on from Sequoia, Accel, Balderton, Latitude, Okta, Sozo, Citi & Schroder Adveq, to further our mission to secure the human layer.

Founded in 2013, Tessian is backed by world-class venture capital investors, has hubs in London, San Francisco, Boston, and Austin, and London, and is one of the Top-3 2021 Best Places to Work for Women.

At Tessian, our mission is to secure the human layer by eliminating human influenced cyber attacks, accidents and insider threat from the enterprise. We are searching for a Product Marketing leader who is go-to-market and metrics driven and shares a passion for cybersecurity. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and will be a key stakeholder in our product leadership team, responsible for planning, creating and implementing the overall product marketing strategy. If you have experience with early stage growth and enjoy scaling a company and driving change to better serve customers, this role will fit your expectations.

This role requires an experienced technical business partner with deep domain knowledge in all areas of product marketing. In addition, the leader of this team requires creativity, customer-centric analytical experience and will need to move with urgency. It is preferable to have deep domain expertise in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:
As the product marketing leader, you will develop and execute the product marketing strategy. To do so, you must understand the market, customer needs, and competition. You will develop messaging and positioning for the Tessian portfolio of products and services. Your role will be focused on driving customer acquisition and retention by improving conversion throughout the sales funnel. You will also influence the market, drive competitive research and lead cross-functional product launch programs. Critical to the success of this role, you will build, manage and grow the product marketing team, including optimizing its structure, setting goals and objectives, providing mentorship, and oversight.

You will:
Develop and own product positioning, messaging, value propositions and sales materials that differentiate Tessian’s solutions in the marketplace.
Work with the creative and digital teams to create engaging audience-specific content, including sales decks, case studies, solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets, whitepapers and sales playbooks.
Evangelize Tessian's value, develop assets such as demos, white papers, workshops, presentations and technical blogs, and drive views of content.
Provide insights to sales, product management, marketing teams, and the partner channel about the competitive landscape and competitor offerings.
Develop the product marketing function and drive cross-functional collaboration with product management, customer success, marketing, partners, sales engineering and sales.
Evolve the pricing and packaging of Tessian’s product portfolio.
Provide input into product roadmap and strategy based on market and customer research findings, industry analyst interactions and competitive findings.
Define the product marketing team's strategy, budget, hiring and goals to build and measure team results.
Support sales teams by engaging directly with clients/prospects on strategic opportunities.

Requirements:
10+ years of experience in product marketing teams driving successful launches and adoption of security solutions.
5+ years in a leadership role within product marketing with the track record of building, developing and managing high-performing teams through multiple growth phases (ideally $50-100M+ ARR)
Proven track record in building, getting buy-in and executing product marketing plans, in a very fast-moving, technical environment.

East Coast US or United Kingdom locations are preferable
Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
Experience in project management with strong attention to detail.
Record of driving growth of a SaaS platform with multiple SKUs.
Experience leading and collaborating in cross-functional project teams within shorter than comfortable timeframes; ability to manage up, down and across the organization to get desired outcomes at speed.
Demonstrated use of customer driven research to inform decision-making and strategy development.
High creative ability to create engaging content, tell compelling stories and excite the customer before they’ve got hands on with the product
