Headquartered in San Francisco, Recurly is hiring remotely across the US depending on role and experience.

The Head of Product Marketing  will help accelerate the way we engage the market by communicating product value, driving product distribution and championing the customer.Subscription management is a fast-paced market, and product marketing is central to capitalizing on market trends, customer needs and building a GTM that scales. Looking for an experienced product marketing lead that will build/drive our product marketing organization across multiple impact areas including product growth (inbound), segment strategy (outbound), sales enablement, customer and insights. 
The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in GTM development, harnessing data, VOC and stakeholder inputs to sharpen our attack plan in the market. Must be a strong collaborator, partnering with Product, Sales and other internal stakeholders. 
In this role your team will be focused on go-to-market strategy, audience and persona definition, positioning, messaging development, competitive analysis, customer engagement, and partner and sales enablement programs. Recurly is an ideal environment for experienced B2B product marketing professionals with creative problem-solving and well-honed analytical skills who are passionate about harnessing a large market opportunity and scaling a business. Preference for candidates with experience at growth-stage companies who have demonstrated that they can compete and win by translating customer and market understanding into differentiated value propositions and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product revenue contribution through new customer acquisition - with  expanded product storytelling and verticalization - and help grow our existing customer base through adoption, cross-sell and upsell. 
  • Understand the customer journey and integrated marketing strategy to address all stages of the funnel. Partner with the demand generation and content teams to help them develop incisive, crisp deliverables and sharply-focused marketing programs using this knowledge. 
  • Drive Customer advocacy - you are the expert on our customers, bring their stories and needs to life. You shape robust plans to develop this community, drive growth and develop advocates with our customer success team.  
  • Insights-driven - whether it is VOC, our own data or developing consumer research to tell a new story or refine roadmap
  • Increase deal acceleration and competitive win rate through Market and Competitive Intelligence - understand market opportunity and competitive landscape, translate that into meaningful strategy and sales enablement.
  • Enable our sales team and channel partners; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal and external tools, presentation decks, demo scripts, competitive briefs and teach them how and when to use them.
  • Plan the launches of new products and releases of new product capabilities, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Develop positioning and messaging platforms, contribute to pricing strategy, and have a deep understanding of Recurly’s target markets.
  • Work with colleagues across the company to increase customer engagement and learning initiatives that drive revenue and growth of the install base.
  • Collect and analyze ICP, market sizing, sales, customer and prospect feedback to inform strategy, and support win-loss analysis.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience in a high-growth environment, with a strong preference for experience in start-ups.
  • Proven ability to drive integrated GTM plans, differentiated messaging and product growth; experience in SaaS, payments and/or financial technologies preferred.
  • Clear history of enabling enterprise sales teams to succeed and exceed their goals.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate and influence across stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Demonstrated reliance on data with the ability to identify trends and articulate business results achieved by past marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional planning, communications, and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, manage several projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast paced start-up environment
  • Degree in business, marketing, finance, information technology or another related field.
