Mission - Why does this job exist?

Manage, coach, and grow the product team to deliver a best-in-class product through a deep understanding of the problem spaces of respective users and building the best team & operating model to deliver impactful solutions.

This role requires a broad range of skills - technical, analytical, leadership, relationship-building, and communication to be able to inspire the Product Management team, our clients, and the whole company. It is suitable for someone with a proven passion for Product Management as well as a positive can-do attitude.

We're looking for someone very technical who can lead not only on general product experience but also on back-end, data pipelines (ETL), no-code tools, and API integration scalability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • User-centric Mode of Operandi: The Head of Product Management will be developing ways to narrow the gaps in Benivo's understanding of user needs by developing a range of methods to get deep and meaningful user insights, and be able to turn them into delightful product experiences. Meet with clients and future clients to identify customer needs and drive solutions from other industries to transform the global mobility industry.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring new features are delivered on time and within budget, in close collaboration with the Tech org.
  • Performance Analysis: Define and track key product performance metrics, continuously optimizing products based on data and customer feedback.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Rapport: Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, and customers. Build a strong trustworthy personal brand and team brand - especially with the Tech Team.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Product Managers, setting goals and providing hands-on continuous coaching to ensure the successful execution of product initiatives. The person is comfortable with setting a high bar of performance for themselves and their team, and be able to listen to and give feedback to uphold this bar.
  • Product Roadmap: Manage and optimize the process from insights through to ideas, prioritisation, roadmapping, and delivery. Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the short-term and long-term goals of the product portfolio.
  • The first go-to person on anything Product-related: become the natural go-to person for Product-related questions/thoughts/needs with a strong rapport throughout the company. This requires a deep understanding of all parts of Benivo's platform.
  • Team coaching: Upskill the team based on our skills matrix and promote overall excellence and a can-do attitude. Build and manage team members' development plans, provide timely feedback, and manage progression expectations.
  • A mix of leader / IC who can lead and coach by example: this is a hands-on leadership role that requires both individual contributor work as well as team leadership.
  • Promote a culture of writing and business continuity: Alongside the team keep building a robust and well-structured internal and external knowledge base including playbooks for client-facing teams.
  • Ways of working: Continuously identify opportunities to improve ways of working across the broader company in relation to working with the Product team and drive the change to get them adopted.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to drive the development, launch, and ongoing improvement of products.
  • Buy vs build strategy: the Head of Product Management will bring a broad understanding of the technology landscape and coach the team to look out for opportunities to expedite impact through the use of 3rd party technology, in a way that maximizes Benivo's ROI.
  • Culture over Strategy: Foster a strong can-do culture in the team and help them build strong relationships within the team and throughout the company. Nurture collaboration, experiment with the latest product management methodologies, and bring the whole company on a journey to make Benivo a product-led company.
  • Product Vision and Strategy communication and execution support: In collaboration with the CPO and the HoP Marketing, develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment between product initiatives and the overall business strategy.
