The Head of Product Management will lead our global Vertical Brands Business product team with a combined revenue impact of ~ $2BB for the company.  

Below are areas that give you a feel for what we're looking for from candidates and the overall responsibilities in this role:

Strategic

  • This is a highly strategic, impactful role in the fast-growing Vertical Brands business and lead the technology roadmap of the digital transformation. This role requires strong partnership with key business, technology stakeholders including CXOs of various groups
  • Shape the vision of the Vertical Integrated Platform and providing leadership to develop strategic assets through innovation, creativity, and technology
  • Parter with the business to achieve company-wide goals of on-time shipping, improved service levels, while simultaneously reducing costs through innovative global expansion opportunities
  • Create and lead a unified view of the Vertical Integrated Platform that seamlessly works for the variability in customers, orders, and fulfillment methods
  • Champion the customer experience of our business users, partners, and vendors to drive engagement and growth by empowering design teams to deliver intuitive user experiences 
  • Achieve AI/ML based automation in the areas of Inventory, Fulfillment and Allocation by closely working with business and engineering partners in merchandising, fulfillment, sourcing & manufacturing
  • Participate and lead build-buy decisions of technologies as needed

Leadership, Culture

  • Lead, building a team of high-performance Product Management professionals and leaders that are business savvy, customer centric, detailed oriented with requirements & focus on quality
  • Cultivate a highly collaborative environment that builds trust, drives accountability & transparency, facilitates tough but respectful conversations, and encourages introspection
  • Develop a culture that is biased towards execution & results aligned with the company’s long term strategic goals, and that delivers a best-in-class customer experience

Stakeholder Management, Alignment & Execution

  • Communicate product plans, understand stakeholder perspectives, and drive alignment with a diverse group of teams
  • Ability to manage multiple complex and competing priorities and make the right trade-offs that increase the teams’ focus and productivity
  • Managing cross functional requirements and dependencies. Show-and-tell using tools like Jira advanced roadmaps and Airtable are desired and encouraged
  • Lead discovery and scoping of various features and enhancements with stakeholders with clear deliverables and processes related to scope management
  • Participate and drive scrum-of-scrums and other scaled agile meetings as needed
  • Drive adoption of products and change management through well-thought out surveys, stakeholder interviews, success criteria, project plans and risk mitigations where necessary
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, mutually respecting working relationships with all levels of management, peers, and direct reports
  • Display polished, clear, transparent, and concise written and verbal communications. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Product Vision

  • Ability to articulate and execute the product strategy closely collaborating with key technology and business leaders. Examples could include: new, innovative, differentiated product experiences that are strategic to the brand, company
  • Drive large improvements in key customer pain points and business operational efficiencies with the right level of alignment.
  • Invest and partner with business teams on change management

Requirements and Experience that'll help you succeed in this role

  • 12+ Years of product management experience
  • 10+ Years of people management experience within a Product Management team
  • Experience with large scale digital transformation through automation in a B2B or B2C business in a complex regulatory landscape through automation
  • Experience in enterprise level supply-chain, retail or similar industry in a management role
  • Experience leading innovative, customer-centric and technology products
  • Proven delivery through clear business and user engagement metrics.
  • Ability to successfully drive strategy, planning and cross -business prioritization
  • Ability to clearly define, articulate, and tie product & business KPIs to technology solutions
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and sound judgment in product decisions in balancing technical, design and business process debt and the ability to make trade-offs
  • Own and lead complex roadmap planning in partnership with technology, business, finance, compliance and sustainability.
  • Previous management of a globally distributed team across multiple time zones and locations with an appreciation for varying cultures and work styles
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • MBA or equivalent work experience
  • Sense of humor, willingness to laugh at danger and an appreciation of the ironic are huge plusses
