About the opportunity

In the N26 Lending & Savings segment, our team is working tirelessly to provide our users with access to money when they need it, without compromising their future financial well being.
We are seeking a Head of Product to lead this segment, setting the direction of the Product, managing and growing a group of talented product managers, and working closely with Tech and Design counterparts and key stakeholders from the business.
As a key component of the everyday banking experience our users expect, this role provides the opportunity to address the borrowing and savings needs of a user base in excess of 7 million customers.
You will join the Lending & Savings segment with a focus on a range of financial products, including Overdraft, Consumer Credit (loans), Instalment Loans (BNPL), and Instant Savings. The team is working to further develop the portfolio of products by expanding the use cases to address a wider range of user needs, while extending access to customers across our 24 markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Defining and driving the product vision, strategy and metrics for the Lending & Savings segment and supporting Product Managers in the segment in doing the same for their respective teams.

  • Developing and owning the segment roadmap, and ensuring that is delivered - bringing key initiatives to market.  

  • Developing commercial forecasts for our Lending & Savings business, as well as being responsible for the P&L performance (including relevant balance sheet items), communicating with C-Level and other key stakeholders across the business.

  • Recruiting and retaining talented product managers, as well as taking responsibility for the professional and personal development of the product managers. 

  • Working closely with Design and Engineering leadership to cultivate a team culture of impact, performance and team health.

  • Partnering closely with key stakeholders across the business, including in Risk, Treasury and Compliance, to balance growth, risk and compliance needs.

What you need to be successful:

Background & Skills

  • Over 3 years experience of leading product teams, including hiring, managing and growing Product Managers at all stages of their careers.

  • Over 7 years conceptualising, building, shipping and operating financial products. Credit and/or savings product experience is highly preferred.

  • Excels in working with data, financials and market insights to drive your strategic and operational decisions. Close understanding, and ideally steering, of Credit P&L and Balance Sheets is preferred.

  • Has worked extensively with agile methodologies, leading multiple streams of complex work, and are adept at communicating and instilling the vision across Product, Design, Tech and Operations to achieve a clear focus.

  • Fluent English speaker.
