Your role

Reporting to Joris, you will strategically lead the Product team, ensuring alignment with company goals, customer needs, and market opportunities. This role is instrumental in driving product excellence, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and developing solutions that create value for customers and drive business growth. As Head of Product, you will inspire a high-performing, customer-focused team and deliver innovative SaaS solutions that advance Gorilla’s vision.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute a data-driven product strategy aligned with company goals, market needs, and customer outcomes.

  • Prioritize product initiatives based on value creation, driving measurable outcomes like ARR growth, customer retention, and adoption rates.

  • Lead the team to launch impactful features and products, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with Gorilla’s vision for energy retailers.

  • Conduct customer feedback loops and market research to inform product development and maintain competitive differentiation.

  • Foster a high-performing product team by coaching, mentoring, and creating structured career growth paths.

  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence, serving as a role model for Gorilla’s values.

  • Optimize product management processes to focus on strategic initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and customer engagement.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, customer success, sales, and marketing teams to align on product roadmaps and deliverables.

  • Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively, balancing cost efficiency with high-quality delivery.

  • Communicate product vision, roadmaps, and priorities to stakeholders, adapting based on feedback and market shifts.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing product teams in fast-paced SaaS environments, ideally during growth from 50 to 250+ employees.

  • Expertise in defining and executing product strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes, such as ARR growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Success in bringing customer-centric, market-aligned products to market, driving adoption, retention, and value creation.

  • Strong knowledge of data-driven product management frameworks, including roadmap prioritization and value-based decision-making.

  • Proficiency in leveraging customer feedback, market research, and analytics to guide product development and iteration.

  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, from concept and research to launch, iteration, and optimization.

  • Skills in budgeting and resource management to maximize impact while controlling costs.

  • Exceptional leadership ability to inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable while fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to align diverse cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Customer empathy and the ability to translate user insights into actionable and impactful product strategies.

About the Product Team

Our team is at the heart of Gorilla, driving the vision for tomorrow's energy retail software and infrastructure. It’s where engineering, customer insights, and industry expertise converge to create innovative solutions that make a difference. As we transition from startup to scale-up, we maintain our innovative spirit while building the foundations for a sustainable and impactful future.

Where and how you'd work

As engineering team lead you are expected to be present and guide the team which is mostly based in our Antwerp office. This can be done partially remotely but we do expect you to bring the team together on key moments and make sure they are motivated and empowered.

Office Mix

This role is currently an Office-Mix Hybrid role. This means you would chat with your leader and team to define the number of days you need to be together to collaborate and achieve outcomes in close proximity. This is often 1 - 2 days a week. The other days you have flexibility.
