We’re looking for open-minded individuals who want to expand the ways technology can help people. We work fast, collaborate, and celebrate as a team. We’re united by a commitment to shaping Tile’s culture around the needs of our colleagues and customers, and by our desire to build a diverse and welcoming workplace.

The Product UX team focuses on creating a world-class experience for Tile users across all platforms as we scale our app and services. We are looking for a Head of Product Design to lead the team to meet our expanding vision.

As the Head of Product Design, you’ll inspire and empower the UX Design team to do their best work. You’re motivated to create compelling user experiences grounded in strategy and focused on the business's long-term objectives. You can listen with affinity, explain the “whys” behind decisions, push the status quo, and represent your viewpoints with conviction. This role balances the day-to-day direction of UX projects, guiding concept development, and rolling up your sleeves to work out the details when things get stuck. Whatever the feature or service, you seek to build a compelling user experience that leaves no user behind.

  • You can scale an app’s functionality while improving its simplicity and ease of use
  • You can align Design goals and strategies to support the business and articulate it to business leaders
  • You like unexplored territory and taking on abstract problems. If you don’t have a blueprint for doing something, you invent it
  • You are an excellent and clear communicator. You expect and deliver transparency in your communication with others
  • You are self-aware, humble, and respect your colleagues

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in product UX design with 5+ years managing a team of internal designers
