If you own a flat in a building, you may have heard about “the Syndic”. In France, you have to choose between 2 models: the Professional Syndicate or the Cooperative one.

Founded in 2017, Matera is a fast-growing start-up (SaaS solution) that proposes a complete tool to enable the Cooperative Syndicate to be completely autonomous to manage the day-to-day life of the building.

The goal is to promote a user-friendly and cheaper solution, to automate tasks; But also to help on complex matters, thanks to our in-house experts who take over: lawyers, accountants, building experts, etc.

Matera has already attracted more than 5,000 co-buildings in France and has ambitions to deploy the solution in other European markets

What about the Design?

At Matera, the design is a strategic challenge on which we are counting to become the reference solution for co-ownership management!

Our team works in squads(1 Product Manager, 1 Product Designer, 1 Engineering Manager et 3-5 Developers) and are responsible for their features.

Our Design team (6 people) continues to grow and we are looking for our next Head of Product Design, who will help us build & lead the team; but also, empower the co-owners by creating the most transparent and human solution possible.

  1. Scale design team
  • Build a strong, fair, and consistent career path and make it evolve
  • leveling teams up, even senior Product Designers
  • Recruit and attract top talents
  • Building a performant recruitment process that helps reveal the potential of every candidate. Making it challenging enough to attract the best profiles.
  1. Design team organization
  • Setting efficient design methodologies that can be replicated by every squad
  • Collaboration with the head of product and head of engineering
  • Drive and organize workshops and offsite to strengthen design team cohesion
  • Elaborate design strategy to build a consistent user experience and validate it with C level
  • Make sure the design team has everything to work efficiently

Preferred experience

Ideally,

  • You have managed a team of Product Designers (as a Lead or Head of),
  • You are used to working in with the Product and Engineering teams,
  • You participate in strategic/business discussions, you are KPIs driven,
  • You have already worked on a SaaS product (web and ideally mobile design)
  • You are familiar with a design system and its management
