Who we are:

Tripadvisor’s global cruise business includes Cruise Critic, the world’s largest cruise reviews and information site, offering a comprehensive resource for cruise travelers which covers audiences from first-time cruisers to avid cruise enthusiasts. Cruise Critic features more than 350,000 cruise reviews and hosts the world's largest online cruise community.

What we do in Product:

In this role, you will lead the entire Product and User Experience Organization at Cruise Critic. You will formulate and execute product strategy.  You’ll lead prioritization, coordinate work across initiatives, and work closely with leaders across Cruise Critic. You will translate business needs into product plans that incorporate appropriate research and stakeholder input. To be successful, you will be passionate about data, able to craft a vision, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As a critical member of the Cruise Leadership Team (CLT) you will wear your functional hat, but also participate as a critical player in the strategy formation for Tripadvisor’s global cruise business. The successful individual in this role is ultimately responsible for translating our strategy into action, site features and site performance across multiple points-of-sale.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of 5+ and coach them and make sure they build first-in-class capabilities that empower our engineers.

  • Define the long-term product strategy and associated roadmap

  • Determine the metrics that will measure success of our products, and make sure they are reliable and monitored

  • Create strong partnerships with the engineering team to understand their needs, hurdles, and expectations.

  • Lead and manage the employees in the department, ensuring clear goals and accountabilities are established and achieved

  • Ensure individuals’ performance and development needs are met and employees are high performing and engaged

  • Immerse yourself in the cruise market, and leadership of a top-performing product team that is driven to achieve ambitious goals for the cruise

  • Develop scalable processes in a high volume environment

What we are looking for?

  • 10+  years of product management experience

  • 6+  years of team management experience

  • Ability to communicate for influence and coach others in that same direction.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You are able to establish strong relationships with other groups in the organization.

  • Experience developing and using consumer research to develop strategies and tactics

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective action plans to resolve issues

  • Excellent communication to effectively and efficiently articulate both strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual contributors.

  • Background in the travel industry or online/ecom a plus.

At Cruise Critic, we have built an open & collaborative environment and we hire the people we want to work with (not just the ones with the right qualifications), but who also think differently and challenge the status quo.  We empower people, giving the support and autonomy needed to succeed.  We embrace data to make decisions and overcome obstacles.  We choose speed over perfection, but not at the expense of quality.  We do what we do well, but we’re always looking to make it better.  Let us know if you’d like to help.

We strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all candidates. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or the recruiting process, please make sure to reach out to your individual recruiter or our team at [email protected]
