Your mission
As Head of Product and Engineering for our German business branch, you will strategically drive the layout and build of a scalable product architecture that fulfills the needs of our customers, ensures compliance and data security, and sets our business up for growth. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will closely work with the global VP Engineering, VP Product, CPO, and CTO, and be a member of the German Management team. It is your mission to master and leverage our in-house low-code software Platform JetLang to build viable payroll technology for our German customer base.
Your challenge
Lead the German cross-functional Product and Engineering Team in collaboration and close alignment with the Global Engineering and Product leaders.
Design a viable, scalable, and secure software architecture for the DE product using the JetLang platform and other low-code tools (e.g. Make).
Manage and develop the Product team, headed up by our Product Director.
Manage and develop a team of 3+ Engineering Managers who each head up squads of up to 5Product Builders (a hybrid function merging engineering, product, and design elements; for more context pls see here).
Set the Product and Engineering roadmap reflecting business goals and vision.
Establish best practices for coding, quality assurance, and incident management.
Your profile
You have 15 years experience in Software Development, Engineering, Information Architecture, and/or Product Management, including at least 8 years as team lead.
You have experience in designing software systems for large-scale businesses.
You understand the benefits and challenges of low-code solutions, and can translate them into principles and actions.
You apply best practices to ensure software is viable, scalable and secure.
Experience in the SaaS B2B space, in particular for HR, tax solutions, or other regulated sectors, is a plus.
You are intrinsically motivated to build stellar solutions together with your team.
You inform your decisions by leveraging data and listen well to your team and your stakeholders.
As a leader, you display passion and act with integrity.
You are fluent in German and English.
