Head of Product Acceleration job at Scale

Scale’s Engineering and Product Development organization (EPD) reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. Scale is organized as vertical empowered product teams under a product GM. Each product GM is responsible for defining their product, their pitch, their go-to-market strategy, their product demo and leading the engineering team. For operationally-intensive products (e.g. 3D Lidar labeling), the product GM works closely with their operational counterparts to support delivery of customer engagements.

The Head of Product Acceleration leads a small horizontal team of highly specialized product experts who partner with product GMs to help debug, diagnose, and ultimately accelerate product development and adoption. This function is designed to mirror some of the in-house expertise that Venture Capital firms offer to their portfolio companies.

You will

Partner with product GMs to help debug ,diagnose, and accelerate product development and adoption
Help early-stage product GMs think about market analysis & segmentation, hone initial pitches, build compelling demos, and establish early success benchmarks
Help later-stage product GMs analyze & improve pitch conversion rates, scope pilots and bake-offs to speed through or around checkpoints, brainstorm ways to mitigate objections or pivot to turn a weakness into a strength, and think about pricing and packaging
Lead a small team of highly specialized product experts
Help in build-vs-buy analysis for acquisition of new products
Partner with the CTO on product investment planning
Represent the Office of the CTO with customers in peer executive engagements

Requirements

Strong technical background and ability to influence VP level product & engineering leaders
Significant experience overseeing a full-lifecycle product, from inception to scaling across many customers
Significant experience managing technical teams
