Head of Design

We seek a motivated and strategic thinker with a strong interest in designing and building products that solve complex business needs while ensuring transparent data control for the end consumer. We value tenacious curiosity and the drive to set and own ambitious business goals.

As the head of design at Truework, you will lead the Design team in delivering our vision to our customers, working directly with the leadership and Engineering & Product teams.
You will craft seamless experiences for our users with a focus on growth-oriented projects and new product areas. You will help grow the Design team and mentor individual contributors to promote design thinking. You will be required to work in the product trio with Product Managers, Engineers, Leadership  and go-to-market functions to see that design thinking is present throughout the company.

At Truework, your responsibilities would be to: 

• Lead the design efforts for new features and product offerings to grow Truework’s verifier usage and consumer experiences.
• Design the future experience of identity verification products for verifiers and consumers.
• Mentor Brand & Product Designers to maximize their impact at Truework.
• Push Design thinking and a shared visual language across the company.
• Improve upon or identify new ways for the design team to support, collaborate, and drive initiatives cross-company.
• Work directly with founders and executives to prototype and test new product ideas with customers

What we’re looking for: 

• Enjoy working on end-to-end design projects with a focus on interaction design, product strategy, and visual design
• Strong product thinker and ability to lead product initiatives from concept to execution
• Experience balancing priorities while executing on design deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of best industry standards for UI/UX design
• Strong cross-functional partner to PMs, engineers, and supporting teams
• Interest in designing around financial identity and consumer privacy products
• Experience working on B2B/Enterprise growth projects such as user onboarding and customer education
• Creating and maintaining design systems with engineers and other designers
• Experience in marketing and brand collateral
• Effective communicator, whether it's high level, talking about the goals of the design team or detailed as presenting designs in Figma and giving feedback to engineers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to work independently to identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently
• We’re looking for an experienced design leader with at least 2 years in a management role and 5 years as an individual contributor.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

Our cash compensation for this role is targeted at  $205,000- $233,000 for candidates based at our hub in San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
