We are looking for a Head of Design for Square's Seller Experience team. The Seller Experience is the team that is considered the glue of Square's product ecosystem. It is the team that thinks outside of individual products and focuses on the entire experience a seller has when they are evaluating, signing up for, and using Square. Seller Experience owns many of the shared surface areas and platforms that all of Square's products feed into such as our public website (squareup.com), sign up flows, the Square Dashboard where merchants manage their business, our help and support channels, in addition to internal tooling for Square employees to better message and serve our customers.
As the Head of Design for Seller Experience, you will report directly to the GM of Seller Experience and partner with the Seller Experience executive team to inform the roadmap, and improve cohesion across the organization and in turn all of Square's product ecosystem. You will lead a diverse team of 20+ managers, product designers, marketing designers, researchers, writers, and production designers. You will provide guidance of their output, facilitating cross-functional partnerships and implementing design processes. You will promote a world-class design practice, influence product strategy, and ensure design execution throughout your organization. As a Head of Design, you'll provide mentorship and champion the craft and career development of your team, while creating a safe haven so designers can accomplish their best work.
Additionally, you will be part of our overall design leadership team at Square and be a core driver of decisions improving the entirety of design and creative disciplines at Square. You will partner with other Heads of Design peers throughout Square to establish best practices and operations for the discipline.
