Head of Design

PhotoRoom develops cutting-edge technology that empowers entrepreneurs, small businesses, and merchants to easily create images that sell - leveraging deep learning. Our ambition: power the internet’s commerce images.

Our first consumer product, the PhotoRoom app, is already a leader in mobile photo editing: we serve 6M+ users across more than 180 countries monthly and our app was awarded as the Best App of 2021 by Android and named as Editor’s Choice by Apple.

Our company is profitable, and our lean team is made of world-class experts in deep learning, product, and marketing with backgrounds at Apple, Algolia, Google, or Bumble. We are a diverse team of entrepreneurs building for entrepreneurs.

?We are looking for an expert in the Product Design field, in order to help us go to the next level! As our Head of Design, you will be solving design challenges like inventing the camera of the entrepreneurs with an entire team passionate about user feedback.

?? We are flexible: you can work from anywhere in Europe and come once a month in Paris (fully reimbursed), or come to the office more often.

?? PhotoRoom is an international team and we work in English. We offer language lessons for those who need it (English & French).

You're the first full-time designer and lead PhotoRoom product design on all platforms. You will work closely with the co-founders and a team of senior and extremely talented engineers. You will:

- Lead conception, exploration, and accelerated development by prototyping ideas. This will directly impact PhotoRoom users.

- Measure the success of features and products in collaboration with the growth team, founders, and engineers. 

- Build PhotoRoom information infrastructure and brand

- Develop PhotoRoom helpful, friendly, human, and straightforward identity in the product.

- Set guidelines for PhotoRoom templates and contribute to them

At PhotoRoom, you will solve many original design challenges with the help of the team:
