At Sastrify, we want to make customers successful by helping to procure and manage the right tools in a fast and agile way. In most organizations it takes an enormous amount of time to get a new tool introduced. From finding the right tool, comparing it to similar tools in the market, determining the plan and add-ons needed, getting all necessary approvals to negotiating the price and figuring out how to integrate and introduce it within the company. There are many steps, that prevent companies to focus on their core activities and spend countless hours with the overhead of introducing the tool instead of getting the value out of the tool quickly.

As our Head of Design (m/f/d) you will enable your team of product designers to do exactly that. This is a high impact role in which you'll work closely with many parts of the company. We started to introduce the first functionality into the tool, but now it's time to own it and take it to the next level. What you'll do as our Head of Design (m/f/d)

• Defining a holistic product designer role: from interviewing users, prototyping product ideas, visual designing the UI to optimizing features that have been shipped
• Make sure product designers are living their role as part of a product team, consisting of product managers, engineers and product designers
• Actively coaching your product designers towards filling that role
• Growing your team of product designers while the company grows
• Helping your team to be considered a helpful partner, from coming up with ideas, validating possible solutions to make them come true in form of the product
• Helping your team to collect quantitative insights from data and qualitative insights from user interviews
• Enabling your team to regularly share insights throughout the company
• Collaborating closely with the VP Product, the founders and the rest of the organization
• Seeing balancing needs for pragmatism and perfection as a chance to move fast - it’s never going to be perfect, yet we can’t accept a sloppy product
• Making sure the product design is as standardized as necessary and as flexible as possible

Requirements

• You are eager to understand tool introduction processes deeply
• You have multiple years of hands-on experience of design within a cross-functional product team, that owns a product (part) End-to-End
• You have experience in leading a team of product designers
• You have demonstrated, that product designers in your team are learning from you and get your support to grow
• You have a deep expertise in User Experience and applying it to workflows
• You fully embrace change - as both product and company will scale and change
• You have outstanding oral and written communication skills in English
• You are striving when working remotely (we don't have an office)
