Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to hubs in Austin and San Francisco, which are now home to our US operations. So whether you're in Texas or California, you have choice in where and how you work in each of those states. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you. 


What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA.But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

The Head of B2B Product Marketing at Canva plays a pivotal role in driving our B2B growth strategy. This multifaceted position involves strategic leadership, team coaching, and hands-on execution, positioning you at the forefront of our B2B initiatives. Leading a team of skilled B2B Product Marketing Managers as well as the entire Sales Enablement team, your role is instrumental in crafting and executing our B2B GTM strategies. Collaborating closely with Customer Marketing, Events and Partnerships, you will be a linchpin in aligning our marketing efforts with our company's strategic vision.

Your responsibilities extend to nurturing cross-functional collaborations, forging partnerships with product, sales, success, community, and marketing teams. By fostering robust relationships, you will develop profound customer insights, refine personas, and build compelling messaging frameworks consistent with our overarching company narrative. Your expertise in competitive differentiation and developing innovative sales tools will enable us to achieve our growth targets. As an agile leader, you'll navigate our dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing complex projects across diverse teams, thereby ensuring our B2B products continue to lead the market.

What you'll be doing

  • Leadership and coaching: Lead, mentor, and empower a high-impact team of PMMs, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Through your strategic guidance and expertise, inspire your team to achieve remarkable results and drive the successful execution of our B2B growth strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning the team's efforts with our overarching goals, ensuring consistent growth and impactful outcomes.
  • Strategic B2B GTM Strategy: Craft and implement a comprehensive B2B GTM strategy, focusing on our mid market and enterprise customers. Your focus will be on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, enhancing product activation, improving competitive win rates, and strategizing expansion plays.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge robust partnerships with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, success, community, and marketing. Develop profound customer insights, personas, and messaging frameworks consistent with our overarching company narrative.
  • Competitive Differentiation: Spearhead competitive differentiation strategies and develop compelling messaging frameworks. Cultivate trust and demonstrate the value of the product marketing organization within product, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop innovative sales tools and enablement strategies, enriching sales efficiency and deepening product understanding. Establish a feedback loop between product, marketing, and sales to translate market feedback into actionable insights.
  • Influence and Communication: Showcase exceptional communication skills, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and building trust across functions and organizational levels. Navigate a global organization, adeptly juggling multiple projects and priorities in our dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Innovation and Growth: Embrace a growth mindset, remaining agile in the face of change. Encourage a creative approach to ideation, fostering experimentation and initiatives that fuel continuous growth.

What we’re looking for

  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years expertise in leading and managing impactful product marketing teams in the fast-paced SaaS industry, particularly in times of organizational change.
  • Proven Success: Track record of leading product marketing in a multi-product SaaS company, showcasing expertise in driving growth even amidst organizational transformations.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated success in developing highly differentiated go-to-market strategies, positioning a company across diverse segments, and effectively influencing senior executives.
  • Communication Expertise: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, allowing you to distill complex concepts into straightforward, digestible content.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, you thrive in ambiguous situations and are adept at managing complex projects across various teams. You possess a creative flair for generating innovative ideas and a willingness to experiment with initiatives that drive growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to seamlessly navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating harmoniously with cross-functional teams, all while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

The target salary range for this position is $231,000 to $351,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
