About this Role

Sprig’s small (2 product designers) but mighty design team is growing!

We’re looking to add a product designer focused on growth. In this role, you’ll design everything about how new Sprig customers evaluate the product, sign up, and begin their first steps on the platform. You’ll take on challenging design problems helping new customers join the many top tech companies that already use and love Sprig.

You’ll report to the Head of Design and collaborate closely with the product managers, engineers, user researchers, and others within the Growth product team.

This role is based in either San Francisco or New York City with at least one day working in office.

Your Impact

  • Enable potential customers to experience the magic of Sprig’s in-product surveys functionality while minimizing the setup required
  • Create simple, delightful onboarding experiences to help new customers immediately understand Sprig’s value
  • Evolve Sprig’s setup process towards a more self-serve approach, enabling sales and customer success representatives to focus their time when most needed
  • Clearly and transparently communicate to customers how Sprig’s pricing and usage limits work
  • Influence the Growth team’s roadmap, researching and brainstorming new ideas to drive more happy Sprig customers!

Your Strengths

  • 3+ years of product design experience
  • Experience solving complex design problem and producing simple, elegant, and impactful solutions
  • Holistic, analytical decision-making - You incorporate a variety of goals (user goals, business goals, technical constraints) and inputs (data, user research, and intuition) into your design work to identify the best possible path forward. You create hypotheses and test them.
  • Quick and scrappy - You avoid decision paralysis and know when to make a decision and ship. You quickly iterate and improve your products over time.
  • Autonomy and impact mindset - You take initiative to drive high quality work forward with limited direction. You think beyond a limited definition of “design”, doing whatever it takes to build an excellent product.
  • Collaborative - You’re great at receiving, giving, and acting on feedback. While specializing in design, you understand enough about the goals and perspectives of product managers, engineers, and others to be a great partner.

Bonus Competencies, Skills, Experiences

  • Evidence of business impact driven by your hypotheses and design solutions
  • Experience working in a growth-focused design role, preferably within B2B companies
  • Experience working within a tech startup and/or small, early stage design team
  • Experience participating in product strategy conversations
  • Experience facilitating workshops, design sprints, etc.
