THE TEAM
You’ll be the Product Manager leader of a global, cross-functional team of experienced and talented Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and Marketers who are focused on building a product that empowers and enables customers to find great live experiences. We are passionate about helping event creators reach their audience, helping consumers enrich their lives through live events, and we are a motivated, collaborative, fun-loving team responsible for a high-growth, global business.  

THE ROLE
You are passionate about search engines and SEO. You always put the customer in the center, building experiences that benefit both users and search engine bots, aligned with Eventbrite strategy and goals. You strive for experiences that are optimal for both natural search and organic users. As part of this role, you will build and leverage an SEO product strategy and guide your product managers to enable our engineers and designers to deliver ongoing SEO benefits. You’ll build a deep understanding of the technical and business opportunities that prevent unlock reliable, scalable, iterative and rapid delivery. And you’ll use this knowledge to find alignment between multiple teams to achieve maximum impact. 

YOU WILL

  • Define a multi-phase SEO product roadmap and lead execution, ensuring delivery of great user experiences to both our natural search users and search engine bots
  • Work closely with a high-performing engineering team and marketing/growth team to build quality product and services
  • Collaborate with peer product managers and cross-functional teams to ensure SEO compliance
  • Build and evangelize the SEO vision across Eventbrite and translate that into a clear value proposition for our event creators
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering and Product outside of the SEO team to ensure your team is delivering the most impactful products
  • Communicate the SEO roadmap and performance across the company, including the executive team.
  • Define and evolve the measurement framework for SEO and assist teams in tying objectives and key results to the success metrics
  • Review technical SEO issues and recommend expedient, enduring and creative solutions
  • Constantly be on the lookout for new, data-informed SEO opportunities

THE SKILLSET

  • 10+ years of product management experience
  • 3+ years experience in direct people management
  • Strong background in consumer experiences and technologies across all platforms
  • Significant experience in SEO and deep understanding of search engines and their ranking factors
  • Knowledge of standard and current SEO practices
  • Experience building highly technical products
  • Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and work through authority
  • Analytical mindset with data aptitude
  • Significant experience working across multiple geographies and time zones
