As part of this effort, we’re building a specialized team within our AI/Chat pillar to create innovative, user-centric conversational experiences.

We’re looking for a Freelance Conversation Designer to help us craft intuitive, free-flowing, and generative chat interactions. This role focuses on creating dynamic conversational flows that enhance user engagement and ensure a seamless user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing Conversations: Develop user-centric conversational flows that align with Cleo’s tone of voice, focusing on free-flowing and generative AI capabilities.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with creative copywriters, product designers, and data science teams to ensure conversational flows align with the recommendation system and product goals.
• Iterative Improvements: Refine chat interactions based on user feedback, success metrics, and insights from weekly critique sessions.
• Exploring Creativity: Experiment with innovative chat structures, including gamified elements or storytelling modes, to engage users in fresh ways.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in peer reviews and quality checks to maintain high standards for conversational UX.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 2+ years in conversation design, UX writing, or a related field, with a portfolio showcasing generative conversational content or CUI (Conversational User Interfaces).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with conversational AI platforms and an understanding of user journey mapping.
• Creativity and Adaptability: Strong ability to balance structured, rules-based flows with the creativity needed for free-flowing generative experiences.
• Tone of Voice: A deep understanding of Cleo’s empathetic, bold, and humorous tone, with the ability to adapt content to user scenarios.
• Iterative Mindset: A love for testing, learning, and improving conversational designs through experimentation.
