Founding Head of Product (f/m/x)

We're looking for a Founding Head of Product (f/m/x) with a desire to own the product, define the product strategy and ultimately build their own team.

What's the role:

The Founding Head of Product is an incredibly dynamic role. It comes with a lot of responsibility and opportunities to learn and get your hands dirty. Also, you will shape and own the foundation of the product, define the product strategy and ultimately build your own team.

We want you to grow into the CPO role short-term and will support you in your journey from day one.

What you’ll do:

• Own the product and define the product strategy and roadmap.
• Build up your own team of Product Managers, Designers and Researchers and coordinate with contractors/freelancers in the short run.
• Create and prioritize new features and write user stories for our platform. At the moment, our platform is developed on no-code tools such as Bubble and Airtable, but we plan on moving to develop our own bespoke software in Q3/2022.
• Support the team with hands-on work, especially in the beginning stages (i.e. drafting emails, setting-up tools, analyzing user research, implementing the platform on no-code tools etc.). As the business grows, the amount of hands-on work decreases.
• Plan and coordinate product launch with other business units such as Community and Marketing, Growth, Operations and Education.

Who you are:

• At least 1-5 years of experience in product management or project management working on internet products, experience on education-related products is a plus.
• Comfortable with high degrees of ambiguity and rapid growth; perhaps you’ve been a founder yourself or want to be one day.
• Fluency in agile product development processes.
• Experience in coordinating, managing, and building cross-functional teams (design, research, product, engineering).
• Respect and honour people from all walks of life. Hyphen is an inclusive team and we treat people with respect regardless of their background.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Notion etc., experience no-code tools like Bubble, Integromat, Zapier etc. is a plus.
• A real passion for Hyphen's mission.
• (Ideally) based in Europe (within +/- 2h CET) - we’re remote by definition but have an office in London that you can join.
