Experienced Product Designer

On the Dashboard team, we focus on shipping experiences and elevating the UX quality of Plaid’s Dashboard— a key surface area for customers and data partners. The Dashboard provides a variety of features and tools for launching with Plaid, integration monitoring, and account management and is the home of emerging insights products for payments and risk assessment.

We’re looking for an experienced product designer to join our Dashboard team. You will play a critical role working with cross-functional partners identify and build solutions for Customers and data partners and ship insights products experiences in the Dashboard. In this position you will lead redesigns or vision setting exercises for experiences in the Dashboard while elevating the design quality bar by ensuring solutions set high visual and interaction design quality standards. This role will also entail mentoring other product designers.

The design team at Plaid is made up of product designers, researchers, and content strategists who work with our cross-functional partners to create Plaid’s products.

Responsibilities

Shipping delightful and easy-to-use experiences for developers
Closely collaborating with engineers and product managers, from planning through execution
Being a tireless advocate for the users and user-centered processes
Producing high-quality work from wireframes and user flows to pixel perfect prototypes with delightful interactions
Ability to develop insights into customer behavior from both qualitative and quantitative information
Joining a team of experienced designers and contributing to our design culture through collaboration, presenting work, and sharing feedback

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in creating and shipping quality digital products
Producing high-quality work from wireframes and user flows to pixel perfect prototypes with delightful interactions
Strong verbal and visual presentation skills, as well as an articulate point of view about design
Proven record of collaboration to support and influence the team’s direction, vision, and planning of deliverables
Ability to tie designs to business needs, goals, and metrics
Having a divergent exploratory process with the ability to communicate trade-offs
