The team
Our Marketing team creates world-class content and data-driven marketing solutions that communicate the value of DocuSign’s Agreement Cloud to reach more customers and help them understand the potential impact DocuSign can have on their business. We design creative for a new business campaign. Build worldwide digital experiences that touch millions. Refine messaging around new product launches. Organize captivating customer events. Develop innovative social media campaigns. Collaborate on playbooks and training with the Sales team. Marketing is the face and voice of DocuSign and plays a key, high-impact role in how we tell our story.

This position
As the Director, Public Sector Product Marketing you will help define and execute the strategy for marketing DocuSign’s products to the Public Sector, including the Federal Government and System Integrators, State & Local Governments, and Public K-12 Educational Institutions. You will lead a team to develop and deliver a plan that drives sales and customer success, including market segmentation, defining product solution messaging and positioning, identification of top Public Sector use-cases, enabling sales teams with content and tools, and partnering with demand marketing to increase awareness and create sales opportunities. You’ll work cross functionally with product management, business development, customer success, other marketing teams, and senior leadership to accelerate the growth of the DocuSign Agreement Cloud in this strategic vertical and identify future growth opportunities.

This position a people manager role reporting to Head of Audience Marketing and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of product marketers who cover Federal, State & Local, and Public Sector system integrators
  • Be a player-coach who can lead by example
  • Develop a deep understanding of Public Sector markets, including buyer personas, key uses cases, and customer needs
  • Partner with field leadership in sales and customer success to identify growth opportunities and align on business priorities
  • Help sellers win through the development of high quality enablement content on industry insights and sales tools that align with DocuSign’s sales process
  • Collaborate with demand-marketing leadership to develop marketing plans and allocate resources to drive the most impact for your industries
  • Collaborate with product management to identify the unique needs of Public Sector customers and identify growth opportunities requiring product investment
  • Create and support your team directly in the development of world-class marketing content for use across different channels
  • Develop partner co-marketing initiatives in conjunction with Business Development
  • Evangelize our product offerings with customers, partners, analysts, and media
  • Support your team’s career development and growth

Basic qualifications 

  • 12+ years marketing experience, with 5+ years of product marketing experience in the B2B SaaS space
  • 3+ years marketing to Public Sector organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create net new content and marketing assets that engage senior (C-Suite) decision makers
  • Track record of leadership and results in a fast-paced work environment
  • BA/BS required

Preferred qualifications 

  • 2+ years management experience 
  • Demonstrated expertise leading cross-functional, large-scale strategic marketing initiatives, working in a matrixed environment
  • Mix of strategy, marketing, sales (direct, partner, e-commerce) and technical skills
  • MBA from top tier school or prior strategy consulting experience
