About the Role:
Transfix is on an exciting growth path, and building a best-in-class marketing team and marketing machine will be integral to hitting our ambitious goals. As we continue to bring automation to an industry very much in need, we need a strong Product Marketing leader to drive our product marketing strategy and build the team necessary to really rev up the engines. That’s why we’re looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our growing marketing team! 
Reporting directly to our VP of Revenue & Product Marketing, this role will help further develop and drive our product marketing strategies, and will also build, coach, and develop a best in class product marketing team.

In this Role You Will:
  • Think strategically about the big picture, collaborating across multiple departments at Transfix to develop and implement a strong messaging strategy that integrates seamlessly with product experience
  • Own the product marketing strategy specific to Transfix’s core audiences and market expansion plans, serving as a key collaborator between the Product and Marketing teams
  • Lead the development of our new product go-to-market strategy, product activation, and maximizing the lifetime value of our Shippers and Carriers (our primary customers) at all stages of the funnel, including competitive analysis
  • Lead, build, and develop a diverse best-in-class product marketing team
  • Operate in a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Brand, Content, Analytics, and Performance Marketing to improve the Shipper and Carrier experience through holistic and targeted marketing design to drive conversion, engagement, and retention
  • Set clear, measurable product marketing goals and track progress against them making continuous recommendations for how we can improve impact
  • Partner with Product, Performance Marketing, and Brand teams to determine what, where and how, and to whom we market key features and product launches, taking into account Shipper and Carrier needs and business objectives
  • Help product teams articulate customer value and plan effective product delivery and launch, while also advocating on behalf of marketing to ensure that product road maps support marketing strategies
  • Serve as a specialist on market-specific nuances, partnering with product and marketing teams to advise on opportunity sizing, articulate user journey’s, uncover Shipper and Carrier insights, and identify key user needs to focus product roadmaps on the largest business opportunities

You’re an Excellent Fit for this Role if You Bring:

  • 8+ years of related experience in marketing, product marketing or product management, including at least 4 years of insights-driven go-to-market experience
  • Proven experience building and coaching a team
  • Experience driving successful go-to-market strategies for product and feature launches, including aligning product marketing and messaging to a larger brand narrative and translating brand strategy into product marketing output
  • Proven track record of partnering with product management, influencing roadmaps, and bringing products to market
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and how to operate within product-led teams; comfort and experience working with product and technology partners
  • Empathy for customers and a strong understanding of user experience
  • Balanced creative, conceptual thinking with a data-driven mindset; excels in both creative and analytical environments
  • Capacity for, and interest in, flexing across both strategy and execution
  • Collaboration with different disciplines; build trust and relationships quickly

  • This role is 100% remote, however we have offices in New York, NY and Atlanta, GA, so if you live near these places, you're welcome to come in as you'd like.
