Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position is needed to help us define and build the future of Twilio Studio, our low-code development platform. We envision Studio as the main platform to connect builders with the Twilio APIs. In this role, you will define and own the long term product vision for Studio and help position Studio as the main no-code/low-code tool for Twilio builders.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • BE AN OWNER: Own the long-term product vision for key aspects of the Studio product such as growth, engagement, retention.
  • BE BOLD: Discover opportunities and solutions by gathering feedback from customers and prospects, iterating on customer experience mocks and UI wireframes, and ensuring that the engineering team can count with clear specifications.
  • BE INCLUSIVE: Work with your team to evolve existing services and define new ones, prioritize their features, and craft their user experience.
  • DRAW THE OWL: Represent your product roadmap and business metrics to Twilio’s technology executives, customers, and to product teams across the company.
  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES: Engage with our largest customers, other product managers, and cross-functional teams to design, deliver, and support solutions that make our customers successful.

Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • Proven success in product management, leading significant growth of software products for medium and large organizations.

  • End-to-end product development experience, from research, to go to market, and interaction with enterprise customers.
  • Strong business ownership, comfortable sharing their vision with senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to investigate details to make ideas into reality.
  • Solid understanding of what it means to own/operate cloud services, especially for platforms whose customers are both developers and non-developers.
  • Worked closely with cross-functional leaders.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Desired:

  • Master of Business Administration.
  • Experience managing a team of product managers.
