The Director, Product Management role at Ivanti is a pivotal leadership opportunity to manage, mentor, and drive outcomes for a team of Product Managers. This role is responsible for defining the vision and guiding the execution of a common, cloud-based platform across Ivanti’s Network Security portfolio, and aligning platform deliverables with customer and business requirements. As a hands-on leader, you will play a key role in defining shared capabilities, optimizing the product development process, and ensuring measurable success.

About The Team

What You Will Be Doing

As Director, Product Management, you will focus on managerial responsibilities, aligning your team’s efforts with organizational deliverables, and maximizing both team and product performance. Your key contributions will include:

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Product Managers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Establish a clear vision for the team and define measurable success criteria.
• Design and execute resourcing and professional development plans to ensure the team is capable of achieving platform objectives.
• Create a strong organizational structure that supports growth and team accountability.

Platform Strategy & Deliverables

• Develop and oversee the execution of the product strategy, roadmap, and priorities for Ivanti’s access platform.
• Guide the creation, refinement, and execution of platform capabilities such as single sign-on, reporting and analytics, agent frameworks, and integrations.
• Drive alignment across product lines to ensure shared services meet business goals and customer needs.
• Lead platform ideation, development, and delivery in collaboration with engineering and technical stakeholders.
• Define platform requirements that balance technical innovation, market demand, and customer value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, sales operations, and other global teams to ensure product functionality, scalability, and compliance.
• Coordinate closely with product marketing to ensure proper positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
• Work with sales and enablement teams to create impactful outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and gather meaningful feedback to prioritize the most impactful platform outcomes.

Performance Metrics and Execution

• Establish and monitor KPIs for the platform and team, ensuring that initiatives remain focused on measurable results.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize platform performance and the product development process.
• Proactively assess market trends and competition to identify opportunities to enhance the platform’s value proposition.
• Assist your team in addressing complex issues and roadblocks, maintaining high-quality feature delivery.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

• Strong experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, specifically Product Managers, within a global organization.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building scalable, cloud-based platforms featuring common services.
• Hands-on expertise in building platforms, encompassing elements like single sign-on, agent frameworks, reporting and analytics, and integrations.
• Previous experience leading product development in the Agile/Scrum model.
• A dedication and a wealth of knowledge in crafting highly innovative, world-class products.
• Track record of working within global organizations, collaborating with CSPs, and navigating data privacy and retention issues.
• Experience working alongside sales operations, business operations, legal teams, and other stakeholders essential for the platform's global success.
• Experience in building, organizing, and growing teams.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across various teams within the organization.

Roadmap for Success

• First 90 Days:
  • Assess the strengths and growth opportunities of the Product Management team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Ivanti’s current platform capabilities, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Forge strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and communicate team goals and critical-path deliverables to executive leadership.
  • Begin identifying and prioritizing platform opportunities in collaboration with the engineering team.
• First 6 Months:
  • Successfully lead the team in delivering key roadmap deliverables and milestones.
  • Establish KPIs and performance tracking methods to evaluate platform and team success.
  • Drive alignment among cross-functional teams, ensuring that the platform strategy is fully integrated across the organization.
  • Build robust messaging and positioning strategies with product marketing to ensure platform success in the market.
  • Continue developing your team’s expertise and processes for delivering impactful outcomes.
• First 12 Months:
  • Achieve key financial and business goals set for the platform.
  • Solidify Ivanti’s market position and expand the platform’s capabilities through strategic integrations and partnerships.
  • Build a scalable, high-performing Product Management team that is deeply aligned with long-term company goals.
  • Enhance the user experience and solidify platform recognition as a leader in the industry.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of Ivanti’s overall product strategy and vision.
