What you will do:

Credit Karma is seeking a Director of Product with expertise in Data Science to lead the development and execution of data science initiatives to solve business problems that will have an impact on 140M+ members. This role will bridge the gap between data science and business, driving innovation and delivering insights that enhance user experiences and business outcomes. You will oversee a team of product managers and work closely with other stakeholders like data science, marketing and data engineers to create scalable solutions that align with Credit Karma’s mission.

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a product vision and roadmap for data science initiatives based on data driven insights
Identify opportunities where advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning can solve business challenges or improve user experiences
Collaborate with executives and stakeholders across marketing, product and data science to align data science strategies with company goals

Team Management:

Lead and develop a team of product managers
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
Develop and establish clear charters and key metrics for each product manager

Product Development:

Manage a portfolio of projects focused on solving business problems
Develop KPIs and success metrics to measure the impact of data science initiatives
Champion the integration of high-value data sources into Credit Karma’s analytics ecosystem
Collaborate with and align priorities with partner engineering teams to launch our products on time

What we are looking for:

10+ years of experience in product management or data science roles within fintech or technology sectors; product management in data science/AI preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven products
Strong understanding of machine learning, AI technologies, and big data platforms
Familiarity with data science and model building concepts

Pay Transparency Notice:

That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary range for this role is $331,233 to $358,738, plus equity and benefits.
