We are seeking a visionary, forward-thinking Director, Product Design to lead our marketplace design team in working to build the simplest way for businesses to buy and sell in the beverage industry. You will lead the team to design best-in-class experiences for our retailers. You’ll work directly with product and engineering counterparts to elevate and evolve the customer experience and deliver a shared vision and product goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the design of retailer (B2B) experiences for browsing, shopping, and purchasing alcoholic beverages, using established eCommerce principles and paradigms as well as innovating for our unique space.
  • Demonstrating thought-leadership and forward thinking on how designs will scale for a broad spectrum of use cases and growth scenarios.
  • Communicating strategic recommendations based on user research and product development best practices.
  • Considering the full ecosystem of our platforms and connecting to the tools & teams powering both web and mobile experiences.
  • Managing day-to-day oversight of a scrappy and passionate design team, including supporting career development, taking accountability for high-quality design, and bringing a customer and design lens to product discussions.
  • Building a diverse & inclusive team that collaborates across disparate geographies. 
  • Working with cross-functional leaders to shape strategic vision, product development process, and culture of user-centered design.
  • Running design thinking workshops, facilitating brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
  • Above all, striving to make the Provi team, business, and product great.

  • 5+ years of experience developing high-performing teams, managing and mentoring product designers of varying levels of experience, and demonstrating a people first leader mentality.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the design industry, ideally with an eCommerce or shopping focus
  • Proven track record of getting things done and done well with examples of projects you've spearheaded both as an manager and an individual contributor
  • Executive level presentation and communication experience
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the grit to turn uncertainty into action
