Director of Product Marketing

Everyone deserves to work on products that will be used and loved – products that matter. Productboard's mission is to help product makers across the globe create exceptional products that deeply resonate with customers. With Productboard’s customer-centric product management software, every team can make things that matter – together. Over 6,000 companies of all sizes, from early-stage startups to established companies (like Toyota, Microsoft, Zoom, 1-800-Contacts, and UiPath), trust Productboard to help them understand what customers really need, prioritize what to build next, and align everyone around the roadmap so they can get the right products to market, faster.

To help us with this mission, we’re looking for a strategic, creative, hands-on Director of Product Marketing to lead core product marketing for Productboard. This role is the center of the action, driving strategy, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market effectiveness to accelerate revenue, adoption, and our position in the market as the leading Product Management Platform. This is a high-visibility role that will partner closely with leaders from across the organization and will have a significant impact on the long-term growth of a fast-growing business that’s defining a new category.

What you’ll do

  • Lead go-to-market strategy, planning, and launches for Productboard’s new product offerings with a focus on driving business growth and adoption, partnering cross-functionally with product, marketing, enablement, sales, success, ops, and other teams
  • Drive positioning and messaging for existing and new product offerings, advancing how we showcase the power and value of the Productboard platform
  • Craft compelling narratives and value props that clearly articulate use cases, benefits, differentiators, and business outcomes for our target personas, informed by user research, competitive intelligence, and product insights
  • Influence the roadmap and strategic planning by representing the voice of the customer and applying your expertise in Productboard’s products, use cases, market, and business strategy
  • Enable our customer-facing teams with impactful enablement, messaging, playbooks, and tools to win deals, expand accounts, and hit revenue goals
  • Partner with the broader Marketing team to execute campaigns and content to drive new business, retention, product adoption, and expansion
  • Design effective pricing and packaging strategies by researching and analyzing market trends, customer pain points, and sales insights
  • Build and scale repeatable programs and processes that support the growing team

About You

  • 8+ years of related experience (marketing, product management, operations, or strategy), with 5+ years of product marketing in high-growth B2B enterprise SaaS
  • At least 2 years of experience managing direct reports, and coordinating and developing individuals to maximize impact.
  • Gifted storyteller with excellent writing and communication skills and an eye for good design who can succinctly translate technical features into customer benefits that resonate deeply with external and internal audiences
  • Structured thinker with a demonstrated history of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and mobilizing teams that span functions
  • Self-starter with a get-it-done attitude who can navigate ambiguous situations and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic, hyper-growth environment
  • Team-player who builds relationships across functions and can influence without authority
  • Creative energy, courage to throw out the playbook, and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Technically savvy with regards to our products, solutions, industries we play in or capable of learning very quickly
  • MBA a plus

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, we still encourage you to apply!

You can look forward to the following benefits:

💰 Competitive compensation, stock options, company 401k

📚 A budget for your professional development and ongoing learning

🏝 4 weeks of paid vacation and paid sick days

💛 1 Volunteer Day per year for you to help causes close to your heart

🍀 Mental Wellness Program to support your well-being and self-care

🏋 Company contribution to gym and wellness memberships

🚗 Commuter benefits

🍹 Team events, such as happy hours, off-sites, and retreats abroad

❤️ Company contribution and access to best-in-class health benefits and your own Headspace membership
