About the Role

Remesh is hiring a Director of Product Design to lead the efforts of our product design teams. As a design leader, you’ll guide us in taking our design practices from start-up to maturity, identifying the pillars and frameworks of design that drive our vision and mission. In this role, a deep love of product design and customer marketing are key, as you will lead the vision to design products that are beautiful in their simplicity, while integrating marketing and product design best practices under one team.

Director of Product Design (Role Objectives)

• Work alongside our product and engineering teams to develop the product roadmap, team processes, and structure 
• Guide your team to uncover customer problems, define and build solutions, and measure their impact
• Being the voice of your team and across the organization, contributing to the overall roadmap, and driving product and design decisions
• Create broad, conceptual ideas and leading your team to turn them into impactful, metrics-driven solutions 
• Create a collective vision that integrates the marketing and product design strategies
• Listen and collaborate with others to do the right thing for our customers and the business, quickly and to a high standard

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Taking on company-wide design projects that focus on areas like accessibility and localization
• Working cross-functionally with product managers and designers to build engaging features for our users
• Providing your team with coaching, mentorship, and guidance, to understand the customer needs and business goals to create the products and marketing that meet both
• Educating the company on the importance of UX and design industry best practices
• Creating a user centric and data-driven framework for design
• Communicating results and illustrating suggestions in compelling and creative ways 
• Working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, marketing, customer success and product management to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch and beyond

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer with experience in UX research, visual design, and interaction design
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a design team
• Expertise in mentoring and growing teams
• Experience building comprehensive design systems and integrating with Engineering
• A self-starter attitude and ability to design visionary products 
• Experience with enterprise SaaS products 
• Strong active listening, collaboration, and trust building skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of start-up experience
