We’re looking for a Director of Design to build out and lead our Design function. The ideal candidate will have experience growing aspiring individuals at every stage of their career, influencing cross-functional leadership on the importance of design, and a history of delivering best-in-class experiences that lead to impactful outcomes on time.

What you'll be doing:

Lead a growing team of talented designers to ship high quality designs to customers
Uplevel the team on vision, craft, user empathy, judgment, and influence
Cultivate a conducive environment for phenomenal design by helping with team processes like critiques, team meetings, design sprints, north star development, and other rituals.
Inject play and story into our design thinking – how might we radically rethink how we approach design, iterate faster, and build more delightful experiences?
Hire, lead, develop, and inspire a creative team to build long term vision videos of what Fountain could become.

What you should bring:

Experience building world-class design-led products that delight customers
Experience pitching and building design visions with a creative team
Experience leading operations of a design team (e.g., critiques, team processes, etc.)
Passion for effective mentoring and coaching; you should love to help others grow!
Aptitude for strategic thinking and communication and the ability to influence teams
Interest in taking risks with new and exciting methodologies and dissatisfaction with the status quo
