Duties

• Leads up to 5 Product design divisions at Deel (each division contain up to 7 teams)

• Direct up to 6 Lead Product Designers who report directly to you. (Each lead will have their own direct reports up to 7 product designers)

• Own the strategy, architecture, and ultimately accountable for the success of the divisions you lead

• Guide and coach the Lead Product Designers reporting to you (as well as the Lead’s direct reports when it's needed).

• Conduct design reviews and give actionable feedback (horizontally through all the divisions and teams you lead)

• Creating or updating design frameworks

• Be able to perform tactical/design work when needed to unblock your team

• Build industry leading solutions to complex problems in a high dependency environment

• Attract, engage and retain talent

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Product Design Director or equivalent for at least 2 years Experience working in a fast paced environment (ideally scale up/start-up)

• Previous experience as a Product Designer for a minimum of 6 years

• Willingness and ability to be hands on when needed

• Strong understanding of Product, Design and design systems

• Strong leadership skills

• Driven, collaborative and ability to multitask

• Preferably based in EMEA or Americas (ET-timezone)
