??‍? About the role

Design Leader focused on strategies for training, personal development, design frameworks, team culture, apprenticeships, workflow, hiring, and design tools.

As a senior member of the Product Design team, reporting to the VP of Design, you'll play a key role at a formative stage in our expanding team's next level of maturity, helping drive our Design vision.

Requirements

We are looking for an

• Architect
  Define, orchestrate, measure, and optimize our design work by building a framework that allows design to succeed at scale, and reduce friction.
• Advocate
  Fostering an engaging and inclusive working environment to help drive team’s engagement and satisfaction (team events, onboarding experience, etc.).
  Introducing and refining the role of Design Operations across Mews.
• Facilitator
  Partner with the Directors of Product, Engineering, and Marketing/Brand, to ensure stakeholder alignment and to establish clear priorities
  Establishing communication structure across cross-functional teams
• Connector
  Oversaw the Design System, Design Ops, Solutions Design, and UX Research, by connecting the dots between all, to ensure we are helping the Designers deliver consistent, valuable, and remarkable experiences.

Essentially, Mews is a powerful software platform that acts as a central nervous system for hotels, hostels, apartments and more. We use smart tech and automation to make day-to-day operations easier for hoteliers, so they can focus on the thing that really matters: providing remarkable guest experiences.

More than 2,000 properties across 60+ countries are powered by Mews, with more joining every week. Bookings, payments, operations, guest management – everything a hotel needs to operate can be done through our solution. We work with some amazing hotels, including Sage Hospitality Group, Machefert Group, The Student Hotel, and Tsogo Sun Hotels.
