ABOUT THE ROLE 

Peloton is looking for a Director of Global Product Marketing for its two newest products, Peloton Row and Peloton Guide. This marketing leader will be responsible for i) delivering against sales and subscription growth goals for both product businesses ii) helping to evolve Peloton’s portfolio in the Connected Strength and Rowing categories, and iii) building and coaching a team of product marketers. 

The Product Marketing team is part of Peloton’s Consumer Marketing team, whose leader reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role will have opportunities to interact with C-level leadership and drive key decisions to deliver on company objectives. The ideal candidate combines product thinking, data analysis, segmentation, positioning, naming, and go-to-market planning to define how we bring new products and experiences to our consumers and Members. You will partner with experts on a wide variety of teams (Product, Content, Media, Demand Planning, Creative, Integrated Marketing, Consumer Insights, FP&A, Legal, Ecomm, Direct Sales, etc.) to define and achieve business objectives, and you’ll use data to demonstrate the success of your work. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON 

  • Build deep knowledge of the Row and Guide businesses in order to craft, launch and optimize new and existing strategies to drive product sales and new memberships 
  • Develop plans for each quarter and fiscal year aligned with marketing, brand and business goals and drive alignment across all parts of the business 
  • Partner with Consumer Insights & Analytics teams to evolve our understanding of the consumer and connected fitness market through segmentation, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and product usage data 
  • Lead work that fundamentally shapes how we develop, evolve and market our products, including product positioning, naming, messaging strategy, and value propositions 
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new products and features, and partner with other internal Marketing teams to build full-funnel marketing plans that drive awareness, product adoption and retention 
  • Identify opportunities to elevate new product features & benefits within seasonal campaigns and define other media amplification tactics
  • Define promotional strategies and plans to drive sales at critical seasonal moments to reach business performance goals across 1P and 3P retail channels 
  • Analyze and evolve product and membership pricing as needed to achieve growth goals 
  • Develop sales enablement materials and deliver training to Direct Sales teams to inform selling strategy and messaging for new products 
  • Partner with Lifecycle team to inform marketing automations, batch emails, and member communications to drive acquisition and cross-sell 
  • Build product marketing plans that can scale across geographies where product maturity varies 
  • Develop and deliver briefs to channel leads to meaningfully shape channel plans and strategy (e.g., media, Press, etc) 
  • Partner with Product and Content teams on the product roadmap, including informing discovery and development of new products, features, and programming 
  • Keep executive leadership abreast of product marketing plans and results, inspiring, informing, and creating confidence in your strategy to grow the Row and Guide businesses
  • Set a culture and focus on business performance with those around you and ensure more junior team mates are aware of and operate in line with the business strategy & key objectives 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON 

  • 8-10 years of work experience in a related role; 5+ in product marketing, ideally with a consumer technology or subscription-based product 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred 
  • High level of competency in developing marketing strategy and executing tactics spanning all key marketing channels 
  • Experience in marketing in an innovative, fast-paced and customer-centric environment 
  • Experience driving and executing global projects with many stakeholders 
  • Strong communication skills with comfort influencing senior-level, cross-functional teams 
  • Proven data-first approach to building products and solving business needs 
  • Multi-dimensional skillset, including: tactical planning, strategic execution, cross-functional relationship management, analytical and quant skills 
  • Forward-thinking, organized, and detail-oriented

Base Salary: $247,200.00  to $321,400.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
