Design System Lead

Our Creator Studio product and Creator Hub lets anyone teach themselves how to code and publish any experience imaginable-across any device-reaching millions of players across the globe. You will shape and build upon our product design system, uiBlox. As the Design System Lead you will be an essential contributor in establishing our design patterns and visual language by creating UX frameworks and patterns. You'll guide the vision for the system, foundations and tools that empower our product designers and engineers to build high-quality, well-designed experiences. You will report to the design manager of the Creator Studio Platform team.

You will:

• Develop a strategy and plan to move our design system efforts to the next level, based on your understanding of the unique requirements, opportunities, and constraints here at Roblox.
• Lead a team of design systems specialists who will work on creator-facing elements of the product.
• You will partner with Engineering to guarantee a high-quality implementation and user experience.
• Build tools and plugins and focus on how to constantly improve context and clarity throughout the organization.
• Work in close collaboration with the Design leadership team to evolve design processes and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration and progress.
• You'll have opportunities to present your work to executive leadership.

You have:

• 6+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer and 3+ years working directly on design systems across multiple surfaces or equivalent work experience.
• You have worked with front-end developers who use CSS, HTML, C++ (Lua experience a bonus!) and you have experience working with web frameworks (React, iOS, Android, and HTML).
• You have a Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience composing and implementing holistic and user-friendly processes and documentation.
• Expertise in Figma and can guide others to get the most out of the tool and elevate on quality.
• The ability to share work early and often to encourage peers to look for constructive feedback from their manager, partners, teams, and the Product Design team.
